Author's Note: Thank you all so much for reading this story and reviewing! It means a lot to me. This is the last chapter. I hope you like it!

Friday went by extremely quickly. They all knew they should make the best of the day, and they tried their hardest, but it was very difficult to have fun when they knew they would have to say goodbye the next day.

Although it was almost midnight, no one wanted to go to sleep, because they felt like that was wasting the time that they could be spending with Bailey. So per Zack's suggestion, they brought sleeping bags out to the Sky Deck to sleep under the stars.

Even under the special circumstances, Bailey couldn't help worrying that they would get in trouble for not being in their cabins after curfew. Everyone assured her that it would be okay, because even if they were found, she couldn't be punished. She technically didn't go to Seven Seas anymore.

"I hope you guys don't get into too much trouble once I'm gone," Bailey giggled. She was usually the one turning down the poorly thought out plans that were certain to lead to disaster.

"Are you kidding? Cody's here. He won't let us get in trouble," Marcus assured her. "Or have any fun," Woody added, attempting to mask it with a cough.

"I heard that," Cody said, smirking. He turned back to Bailey. "Don't worry about us, Bailey. We'll be fine."

"You guys will be okay without me too, right?" London asked as she scrolled through the songs on her iPod.

"Well, you're coming back in a few weeks," Addison reminded her. "Or less."

"Yeah, but you'll be miserable without me," London insisted. No one wanted to argue, so they just nodded.

"So, Bailey, tell us more about Oxford," Zack prodded. He wanted to get everyone focused on something else so he could talk to Cody. It worked flawlessly. Everyone had their attention on Bailey, who was talking animatedly about the university.

"Cody, come here," Zack said, grabbing his brother's arm and dragging him over to the other side of the deck.

"Zack, this better not be about Bailey-" Cody began, but he could see that it was. Zack kept glancing over toward their group of friends. Cody groaned. "Ugh, why don't you get it? We're having fun!" Zack almost laughed, because Cody was talking about having fun when he was clearly pretty angry. But he wasn't done.

"I don't want to ruin everything by telling her I like her. I mean, it's not even a big deal. Maybe if I was completely in love with her-"

"You're not?"

"No! You know that! I just kind of like her more than a friend. That doesn't have to change anything. She is leaving tomorrow! There's no point in telling her anything now!"

"Even if she likes you back?" Zack pushed.

"Right," Cody replied, heading back to the group.

Zack didn't even know why he cared so much that Cody tell Bailey the truth. He just thought it would be for the best. But he had done all he could do. He wasn't going to push anymore.

S-S-S-S

Bailey was all packed and ready for the helicopter, so she slept until 9:00 the next morning, along with everyone else. Luckily they had all gotten back into their cabins without getting caught at around 3:00 in the morning.

The helicopter was set to come at 9:30, so she and London didn't have much time to say their goodbyes before leaving.

"I'm so excited to see Todd!" London squealed, jumping up and down. She was definitely the happiest of the bunch.

"Tell him we said hi," Zack said, hugging London. "And tell our mom and Maddie and Esteban and Arwin and Skippy and Irene and Norman and Chef Paulo and Patrick we said hi too."

"Yeah, yeah," London replied. "You're going to see them all soon, anyway. Christmas is soon."

"Which means Oxford is soon," Bailey said with a smile. She couldn't help being excited for the program, even thought it was certainly causing her a lot of sadness.

"You better enjoy it," Cody told her as they hugged goodbye. "I mean, it better be worth all the money."

"It will be great," Bailey said optimistically. "But I'm going to miss this place so much."

"It's going to miss you," Cody responded. "We're all going to miss you."

Bailey was suddenly getting very sad again. "I'll call you a bunch. You'll get really annoyed with me, I promise."

Cody smiled. "That's not going to happen," he assured her. "And I'll email you a ton. You'll get sick of it really fast."

"Bailey, the helicopter isn't going to wait any longer," London said impatiently. She was eager to get back to Boston.

"Okay," Bailey said, swallowing the lump in her throat. "Bye everybody. Come to Kettlecorn sometime." She gave each of her friends one last hug. Then she followed London onto the helicopter.

Zack couldn't believe it. Cody really hadn't told Bailey anything. Zack knew that Cody had said several times that he wasn't going to tell Bailey how he really felt, but Zack had thought Cody would change his mind. Maybe he would have to tell her, since it would pretty much be his last chance. Maybe just before she left he would realize Zack was right. But he hadn't. Bailey was shutting the helicopter door now. The blades were spinning.

Cody was looking towards the helicopter, through the window. It was really tough to watch his best friend leave. He could see that Bailey was crying a little bit now. She looked really sad. He hated seeing her like that. And then, it was like something snapped inside of him. He had to tell her how he felt. He had to tell her now. She had to know the truth.

"Bailey!" he called out. He ran closer to the helicopter, but Zack pulled him back. Cody had nearly been blown over by the wind created by the heavily rotating blades. "What are you doing?!" Zack asked incredulously. It wasn't like Cody to be so reckless.

"I have to tell her!" Cody exclaimed frantically. Zack had never seen him so worked up. "She has to know!" Cody's voice was breaking and it sounded almost as if he were being strangled.

"Dude, calm down," Zack said nervously, putting his hands on Cody's shoulders. "She can't hear you. You can't tell her anything!"

Cody's eyes widened and he pulled away from Zack. "Bailey!" he yelled uselessly. The helicopter was lifting into the air, and Zack was right. Of course she couldn't hear him over the sound of the blades.

However, she could see that he was yelling something. She unbuckled her seat belt and leaned closer to the window. "Cody?" she asked quietly. What was he trying to say to her?

Cody was still chasing the helicopter, which was now completely off the deck. "Cody, stop!" Zack screamed, once again pulling his brother back. "I'm sorry man, but she's gone."

Bailey had been letting the tears fall freely for a few minutes already, but for some reason they started flowing from her eyes much more rapidly. The sight of the boat becoming more distant as her friends stood waving was more than she could take.

And it looked like Cody was shouting her name. And Zack was holding him back. Bailey let out a sob. What did he have to say? And why hadn't he told her before? And why was she crying so hard? It looked like Cody was backing away now. He had given up on telling her whatever it was that he was going to.

Cody knew Zack was right. She was gone. Why hadn't he realized that Zack was right before? Why hadn't he told Bailey how he felt when she was on the ship? Cody couldn't believe he had been so stupid. His chance was gone now. He wasn't going to see her again until the wedding, and that barely counted.

They could never be friends like they were before she left. And they could never be more than friends because Cody was too stupid to tell her how he really felt about her.

Bailey wiped her eyes, but she couldn't stop crying. She knew that truthfully, she was angry with herself. She really liked Cody, and she had wanted to tell him for awhile. But she was too scared. Not of rejection, because she had a feeling he liked her too. But she didn't want to ruin their friendship.

However, Bailey knew that it was too late. She couldn't see Cody's face clearly anymore, but the last expression she had seen on it looked a lot like the way she felt. Broken-hearted. And Bailey was pretty sure that meant their friendship was indeed ruined.

Author's Note: Thanks again for reading and reviewing!

The title of this chapter, Got Misty Eyes As They Said Farewell, is a lyric from the song Fireflies by Owl City.

There will be a oneshot sequel about London's parents' wedding. I have no idea when that will be posted, since I haven't written it yet.

Happy Holidays! xoxo, Madison
