Night
A/N: This is my stress relief from my yearly exams, one more exam to go!!! Anyway I'm not a great writer, that is reflected in my English exam (don't want to get that back) and I am doing this for pure fun (and we need more Merlin/Morgana fics).
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
Morgana lay in bed, giving up on the futile attempts of sleeping. She faced the door as she heard it creak open. Morgana sat up in efforts to see the person who had entered the room. She spotted the Prince's manservant at her door. He walked to the side of the bed, never removing his eyes from her. Morgana drew back the quilt of her bed and stood up in front of him. The one candle next to her bed provided the only light in the room, Merlin bent over to blow out the candle plunging the room into darkness. Morgana could tell that he had resumed his previous position by the presence of his breath on her face.
He placed one hand on the small of her back and brought her body closer to his. She had no arguments, enjoying the intimacy between the two of them. They both knew this was forbidden, but it didn't stop them. She knew everything about Merlin, including his magic, there was no secrets between them. She had been secretly seeing Merlin for sometime now, and had fallen in love with the warlock, despite belonging in a higher class to him.
He bent his head down and met her lips. She grabbed his shirt and pulled herself closer to him, so that her body was pressed up against his. Morgana deepened the kiss, desperate to be close to him. She tugged her on shirt, breaking away from the kiss to pull it over his head. Once it was off, she placed her forehead against his, looking into his eyes through the dark.
"Please don't go." She pleaded, although she knew that he had no choice, she wanted to voice her wishes. Uther had declared war and Merlin had to accompany Arthur and the Knights of Camelot to fight the war far across the land.
"I'll come back." He promised, sealing the promise with a gentle kiss. Morgana took hold of Merlin's hand and lead him over to her bed.
-Night-
Morgana woke with a start; she searched the room to find no one. A tear slid down her face as she remembered the night she shared with Merlin before he had gone off to war in honour of Camelot. A significant amount of time had past since that night, and it was last time that she saw Merlin. He had left early in the morning and he didn't wish to wake Morgana who was finally sleeping peacefully. Morgana got out of the bed and walked over to the window. She saw the sun just starting to peer over the horizon, rising to rid the dark of the night. She sighed as she did her daily search of Camelot for any sign that they may be coming home. She placed her hand on her abdomen, where a reminder of the night lay. If they didn't come home soon, she would have to leave Camelot and travel north to Ealdor, where she could seek refugee from Merlin's mother. She wouldn't normally care what people thought of her actions, but she had to protect Merlin and their baby from Uther. She didn't want to think what would happen if Uther ever found out.
She knew that Merlin would return one day and hoped that he did before she started showing. She had seen in her dreams that he was there in her future. Until them all she had to do was wait.
