Maybe he was crazy. Yes, that's the excuse Nate made up in his mind as he watched his best friend's girlfriend's best friend smile at him. When his heart fluttered, he repeated the excuse over and over in his head.

I'm crazy, I'm crazy, I'm crazy.

Of course he was. There was no way, he could be already in love with this girl. She was a smart ass, a rebel, a silly fun loving girl, and the complete opposite of Nate. But he was.

And he couldn't get enough of her confident and cocky smile. Her slightly pink lips look as though it tastes like vanilla, don't they?

"....Are you even listening?" Shane glared at his young brother. Nate pushed the almost sexual thought to the back of his mind and shaking his head, he took a bite of his food. "No, I'm not." Caitlyn giggled and to Nate, Caitlyn's giggle was the only thing he could hear.

It wasn't noise, it was music.

Oh god, he was really insane. "Nate, uh are you there?" She grinned when he jumped out of his trance. "Yes." He replied. "You're really distant, aren't you?" Shane scoffed. "Nate's usually focused and serious. i don't know what's up with him to-" Shane stopped talking because he knew why his friend was acting like this.

He was in love, duh. "Oh, nevermind." Shane said, smirking. Nate blushed and Shane quickly excused himself and Mitchie from the dinner table.

"So Nate..." She trailed off. He smiled nervously and looked down at his lasagna. "Uh, you seem really nervous. Like me." She smiled. His heart fluttered again. He raised an eyebrow. "You're nervous?" She chuckled.

"Maybe not as much as you. But Nate, you're a really cool guy. I guess I like you." She replied casually and his chest tightened.

She liked him. She liked him. "Not as a friend, right?" He asked, wary. She smiled. "No." He sighed in relief.

Hey, it was a start. He pulled out money and set it on the table. "Wanna get out of here?" She grinned. "I'd love that."

-----

"So Shane falls right into Mary Kate Olsen?" She giggled. Nate smirked. "Actually it was Ashley." She giggled more. He nodded and a song was suddenly blaring throughout the camp. It was All The Way Up by Emily Osment and Caitlyn got up, dancing with the song.

She shook her head and sang along, having fun obviously.

Nate watched in amusement. "I like to bite my nails and play the air guitar." Caitlyn sang, strumming said instrument. "I like to keep my suitcase packed cause I'm going far." She smiled at Nate and he grinned.

"And I think you're nice but I don't want to waste my time." Nate rolled his eyes. "I may seem crazy but don't worry, I'll just fine!" She sang/screamed and pulled Nate up with her and they sang together. "All the way up, all the way down. Never look back, it's time to breakout. Want it my way, I do what I do. I know what I like," Caitlyn paused and they stepped closer to each other.

"And maybe it's you." She sang before Nate pulled her closer and kissed her.

And guess what? He realized two things that night.

First was that this was a start of a beautiful relationship.

And that her lips tasted just like vanilla frosting.
