Stupidity

Power, beauty, wealth.

These were the things I desired, the things I thrived for. The things I obtained no matter the cost. My considered level of worthiness is high, I admit, but if one is good enough to be with me, and wishes it above all else, than they should be able to reach my standards with ease.

Sulpicia, my lover and wife for a little less than three thousand years, had fit the bill, so to say, for long enough. Beautiful, powerful, elegant: she had been perfect, at the time. Worthy of being mine and I had to admit that I was quite satisfied with her by my side, giving me pleasure in both her intellectual prowesses and beauty that rivaled Aphrodite herself.

And than he came.

It had been stupidity that had brought him to me: he had run after gaining a letter from the Ministry stating his wand would be snapped and his expulsion from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Fearful of his life and magic, he had fled to Volterra, Italy and into my arms. If he had thought for a moment and waited, he would have stayed at that school and we never would have meet.

Who would have thought that I, Aro, leader of the Volturi and strongest vampire in the world would have a moment of stupidity to thank for the single most gorgeous moment of my after life, trumping even the day of my transformation into a god like being far superior than the mere human I was before?

But it is true. I owe my love, my gorgeous emerald eyed lover to his brash and foolish nature. To his moment of stupidity, that if I am to be honest, seems to come out quite a few times.

But since it was that single thing that brought my gorgeous Queen to me, than I am more than willing to tolerate it. After all, the strongest vampire in the world only deserves the best, right? And who could be better than the youngest, most powerful Mage in the world?

Nothing, of course.

And I am proud to state that I do not think anyone in existence will ever trump my Harry Potter, moments of stupidity and all.
