Warnings: It was a FREAKINGLY long time since I was writing this. I had more than half of this written on the computer already, so I changed nothing, just finished it to the end, and it's... personally I don't think it's nearly as funny as it was supposed to be. Kinda was running around the fandom for that, but ... yeah... uhm... be warned. Randomness and pretty possible OOCness. :D

~~*~Evil Fan Work~*~~
Miguel sighed, frowning at the boy – man, sitting on his bed.
"So… what are you going to do?" He asked quietly and almost regretted the question when Kai lifted to him his red eyes – eyes in which you normally couldn't see any emotion beside the everlasting anger, well… but Miguel knew Kai, he prided himself of knowing him better than anyone else (maybe with exception of Blitzkrieg's), and he saw also…desperation.
"I don't know." The smaller boy muttered even quieter and looked away.
Miguel rolled his eyes – okay it seemed he'll have to be reasonable. Though Kai hated his 'boring reasons'.
"You like them, you know."
Now it was Kai's turn to roll his eyes and he didn't seem too happy. Not that Miguel expected him to be.
"They are like… my brothers."
And there it was… the part when Miguel will have to KICK Kai to make him understand.
"Well, I don't know how it is in Russia, but in Spain you don't kiss your brothers."
"Russia is a very touching country." Kai spat back and Miguel shrugged. Okay… that was true – he saw guys kissing each other's cheeks outside in Russia… but still…
"You practically grew up in Japan. And Japan is a lot more… subtle."
Kai's eyes flashed and Miguel smirked, oh yeah, the sweet victory was coming… He could almost feel it on the tip of his tongue…
" And even if we forgot everything about the countries, you're Kai Hiwatari. You freak out when anyone as much as put their hand on your shoulder, AND I believe kissing is far more BEYOND that category."
A twitch of blue eyebrow, oh no, Kai was going to actually ARGUE.
" I do not freak."
Miguel sighed. Okay… this was calling for some serious proof.
" The last Christmas party I had to drag you to? When Garland tapped your shoulder you almost killed him with your glare."
And very similar glare was sent Miguel's way right now.
"He startled me."
Startled… uhhuh.
"Mathilda poked you and you almost ripped her arm off," Kai was already opening his mouth, but Miguel wasn't finished. Not by long shot.
"Lee patted your back and you DID break his wrist, Max hugged you and you were glaring for the rest of the evening. Rei only REACHED for you and you were growling already." And if that won't be enough… Miguel had more up his sleeve.
"…well… I don't like being touched."
FINALLY. Miguel nodded and sat down next to Kai.
"Exactly what I'm talking about. You don't like being touched but you don't mind Tala throwing his arm around you any time he wishes. Sure you growl, but I think it's more of a …custom with them, than you being actually bothered. You hate being touched but you only roll your eyes when Bryan messes your hair. You're not trying to kill them for light touches."
And he seemed to be actually getting to Kai, because the smaller teen frowned… and sighed.
"But I also don't try to kill YOU when you touch me."
Miguel nodded.
"And for that I'm very thankful. You don't even know how long I wanted to be your friend, and the fact that I can… support you," Kai would probably kill him if he said 'hug' "means very much to me." And it did, it really did, because Kai's friendship… it was something like an insurance that he was STILL on the right side – and not the way he once was.
"But you don't think about kissing me, do you?"
And the look Kai gave Miguel, sent shivers down his spine. It was that cold look, calculating, one that Kai used when thinking about the best strategy for his next beyblade match, for his next attack, one that could decide everything, one that WOULD decide everything every time.
He knew that look just too well, since being friends with Kai meant lots and lots of training – not that Miguel minded, he liked beybladeing, it was just… this expression… it sometimes frightened him.
"What?"
Kai looked into his eyes and licked his lips, seemingly hesitating, but only for a moment, Miguel was sure, because the look in his eyes said he was already decided to go through… whatever was on his mind.
"I didn't think about kissing THEM before either."
…and why did Miguel have REALLY bad feeling about this?
"So?"
"So maybe I'm not … I don't like them that way. Maybe it's only because I don't kiss much."
Miguel sighed. Oh yes. This was a great time for Kai to start acting like the pain in the ass he was – mostly for others, but yeah… even Miguel got a taste of him sometimes. It was only one of the things that came with being friends with Kai.
"So what do you want to do? Go around and kiss random people to find out whether it IS the kissing?"
Kai scoffed and shook his head.
"No."
Good. So maybe he didn't want to be that much of the pain, after all. Really good thing too, because Miguel didn't feel like going to some pub and dragging Kai out if someone became too touchy – not that Kai couldn't take care of himself. He COULD. That why Miguel would be requested to come with him – to save any possible fool that was stupid enough to mess with him, because truly… Kai wouldn't leave much of the person in piece. And he got one or two people to hospital for very similar reason. No need for the media to have another treat.
"I want YOU to kiss me."
Oh-kay… maybe he was happy a little too soon.
"What?"
Kai shrugged, shifting closer to Miguel on the bed, ignoring how the other teen leaned back.
"I want you to kiss me." He growled quietly at Miguel's blink. "It makes sense. I'm not sure if it's only because of the kissing or not. And since you're the only person I don't feel like killing when you put your hand on my shoulder, other than those two, all conditions are met and you should kiss me, so I can figure it out. It's logical."
Miguel wanted to argue that it wasn't logical. That it wasn't logical at ALL, because this plan required for Miguel to kiss Kai, kiss his FRIEND and a GUY and while Miguel had nothing against gay couples he was STRAIGHT. Fine so maybe he didn't have a girlfriend right now, but he WAS straight, while Bryan and Tala obviously weren't so, SEE there weren't all conditions met at ALL, but the look in Kai's eyes stopped him.
Blood-red eyes were looking at him with determination, sure… but if one looked closely they could also see the hesitation, worries and slight despair… and so Miguel sighed, touching Kai's cheek slowly.
"Fine. But I reserve right to all 'I told you so's'." He smiled trying to ease Kai at least a little… funny how he could always get to him, get him to do things he didn't really want to… but Kai requested this. He did and truly there weren't many things – if anything at all – Miguel wouldn't do for Kai.
Kai gave a little nervous smirk and the next thing he knew Miguel was leaning in, pressing his lips against Kai's own. And Kai sighed, closing his eyes, and opening his lips a little, when he felt Miguel's moving lightly, a soft lick on his mouth and then Miguel's tongue slipped in, running slowly and softly over Kai's, before retreating.
That was nothing like the kiss he shared with Tala, nor Bryan. This kiss was slow, sensual and soft, while their kisses were hot, passionate and almost forceful, leaving Kai's heart beating quickly with something close to fear, but not fear exactly.
And then Miguel was pulling away, his thumb running over Kai's cheek and when Kai opened his eyes and licked his mouth again, there must've been SOMETHING in his eyes, because Miguel chuckled.
"Told you so."
Spencer rolled his eyes.
"Did he tell you he'll meet you-"
"Today, yes!" Tala yelled, still staring out of the window.
Spencer sighed.
"At the hotel?" He, finally, managed to ask the question he was trying for last half an hour till the end, without Tala getting on fully different train of thoughts. And by the widening of blue eyes he guessed that NO… Kai didn't say anything like that.
"See. That's as good reason as any other to believe that he was going to meet you at the reading. Readings that we are an hour late already, by the way."
He didn't need to say anything else – Tala was out of the door already, without his shoes, but… hey… Spencer wasn't his mother to remind him of that. And he deserved some fun too, with having to look after these… KIDS.
"Come on, Kai, I'm sorry." Tala whined sitting down next to Kai who was glaring right in front of himself. He wasn't saying anything, but Tala could see his eyebrow twitching every other second and that was NOT good.
"We thought you were going to return home first and-"
"Speak for yourself." Bryan rolled his eyes, sitting in his place on the other side of Kai, watching as Spencer and Ian gave each other a kiss (there was attempt on Ian's side for something more, but thank god for at least Spencer being sane… more or less), before turning back.
"'WE' didn't think he would return home first. YOU thought so, the rest of us was waiting in limo while Spencer tried to persuade you to come as well."
Tala rolled his eyes and Kai growled.
"And THAT took him two hours?"
"No." Bryan smirked. "One hour Tala spent with freaking over lack of gel for his hair."
Tala glared over Kai's head at Bryan, but then Kai chuckled quietly, shaking his head and Tala sighed. He didn't like what Bryan said… but he supposed it could be forgiven… if it made Kai chuckle that soft quiet way.
"I'm really sorry, Kai." He tried again, ducking his head a little (god, Kai was so much shorter than them, it was almost kind of cute and Tala had to stop himself from cooing softly at it) and gave his friend – and hopefully more soon, his best kicked puppy eyes. Not that Kai didn't do the kicking when they FINALLY showed up for the reading.
"Pretty please? With vanilla ice cream on top?"
"That's playing dirty." Kai muttered, doing his best to keep his eyes on now blank screen and Tala smirked.
"Dirty is better than clean. Just think of how dirty me and Bryan could get you." He whispered, leaning closer to Kai, daring to nuzzle his neck softly – and was rewarded when Kai didn't kick him again. He pushed at Tala's head thought a little – not nearly as roughly as Tala would expect him to and bit his lip, his eyes still trained away from the duo and Tala started thinking that maybe, just maybe it wasn't cause of his horrible mistake, that maybe Kai wasn't mad at them – him…. Maybe it was something else.
"We need to talk." Kai whispered and Tala's eyes widened as he looked at Bryan. Was it that? Could it be? "After." Kai added when Tala opened his mouth and the redhead pouted. It wasn't fair that Kai's periphery vision was so good. He was a freaking hawk, not a phoenix.
And Tala would comment on that, of course he would, cause seriously, there's just no way he could keep quiet – but the screen came to life.
For some reason, I really wanted to do a oneshot…
Bryan nodded at that.
"Oh, trust me. More of us have the urge to do that right now."
"Only OUR one shot, will be a bit different." Tala added, leaning a bit to the side and resting his shoulder against Kai's.
maybe it'll have more luck than my actual story. XD
Bryan's eyebrow twitched at the words:
"If you are going to force us to read more of her stories, I'm going to plant a bomb under your car, Dickenson."
"I know where he lives." Kai offered and the maniac grin he was awarded with deserved a chuckle back, and a sigh from Spencer.
"You do realize that after hearing that, he won't let us out ever, probably." Not that he blamed the man. Tala and Bryan could be crazy enough together, and mix in Kai as well… actually, Spencer wondered how was it possible that this place still stood.
Anyway, I want to make this surrounding the Blitzkrieg Boys.
Tala rolled his eyes.
"Youuuu don't saaaaaaaaaaay. Hey, maybe that's the reason we're reading this!"
"Thank you, Captain Obvious." Ian muttered from his place next to Spencer –and flinched when a pillow was thrown his way – since Spencer forbid whatever hard things from being thrown at his lover. It was a thing that relieved Ian, and angered Tala at the same time, so Spencer believed it was job well done.
"Are you guys seriously using MEMEs?" Bryan frowned and shook his head.
"What? YOU have to like them too, since you know what they are!" Tala accused with a smirk on his face, which earned him a pointed glare – and a confused glance from Kai.
"What are the memes?"
"Something destroying humanity." Spencer muttered and Kai lifted an eyebrow.
"I think that was Bryan's and Tala's job?" And seriously – those two shouldn't look PROUD at the comment.
I hope I don't portray them too falsely, but I know how my luck is. :3
Note: This is for the story Evil Fan Work. Which is awesome. But I'm sure most of you know that anyway. Hehe. X3
"What is 'Evil Fan Work?" Ian asked and Kai sighed.
"I don't think we want to know."
Bryan scoffed.
"It's probably a fiction. It says 'Fan' and 'work'. But these people don't do anything but get on our nerves."
"I don't knoooow…" Tala muttered. "I mean… we got some… ideas from the works before." He added, glancing over at Kai. Who seriously considered moving and changing his name. IF they got ideas from THOSE things…
Disclaimer: Do not own beyblade, for that honor belongs to Aoki Takao.
"Seriously," the redhead groaned, shaking his head, "why do they feel the need to tell us that? They don't own beyblade, well sucks to be you."
"Maybe they want us to buy them one." Ian offered and Bryan huffed.
"If it will get me out of these readings, I'm willing to do that right away."
No own, no sue, etc. Nor do I own anything else mentioned.
" Wait…" Tala blinked, looking over at Spencer. "Can we? Sue them?" Unfortunately, it wasn't Spencer who answered him, but Bryan.
"Obviously NOT. Cause some IDIOT signed papers saying we won't do that at the beginning of this grotesque."
"… why are you looking at me?"
Warnings: shounen-ai/yaoi, don't like don't read, and a different pairing just to throw everyone off. :P Sorry Bryan and Tala, you're not with Kai this time…
The room suddenly got cold and Kai could FEEL the two boys around him tense up.
"I don't like this." Tala growled and Kai sighed.
"Neither do I. Why do they have to torture ME? Again?"
"Maybe because of your ass." Tala offered and Kai sent a glare his way. "No, seriously. You have a nice ass."
Bryan nodded.
"Tala doesn't do anything but drool over it.'
Ian is. Eventually… XD
".. .Ian?"
Ian's eyes widened and he tensed, cause Bryan's tone was way too sweet.
"Do you have last will written?" Uh-oh.
This way, he'll have been paired up with virtually everybody. Lucky him, right? XP And some swearing too. But come on, what kind of blitzkrieg boys would they be if they talked clean? Although, I toned it down a lot. Which was stupid of me I'm sure. :3
Another Note: I feel like I should say this right away… I've been too mean to poor Tala in this story. But. I think he kicks ass man. Just saying. :D
While I build my new shelter for protection, enjoy the read! -_-;
"Nothing, can save you from us. Nothing." Bryan muttered and Ian swallowed.
"Maybe the fact that we don't know where she lives?"
"Are you done with that will by now?" And Ian whimpered, clutching to his boyfriend. Spencer will protect him, right? Spencer liked him. He would never allow anyone to hurt him… well… in a way he couldn't jump up from.
Kai groaned. How the hell did I get talked into coming to one of these places? Oh, right, Tala, oursmooth talkingcaptain,he thought sarcastically.
Bryan frowned at that.
"I seriously hate that girl. I'm gonna make sure she meets her end but maybe it will be painless. I like the way she thinks."
Tala gaped at that.
"She was just insulting me!"
"My point exactly."
The five of them were at a… karaoke bar.
Tala brightened at that as Bryan and Kai groaned.
"Hey, that's not such a bad ide-"
"They threw us out last time." Spencer said helpfully from where he was patting Ian's back. "Said something about your voice breaking glass."
There's a pattern Kai has noticed: whenever they go somewhere that's a waste of time, Tala has something to do with it.
"HEY! That's totally not true!" Tala huffed and glared at the screen and Kai lifted an eyebrow.
"Ben Ten Movie." Kai muttered and Tala gaped.
"That wasn't so-"
"Michael Jackson signing." Bryan added.
"How was I supposed to know he was dead?!"
"Pacific Rim." Ian whispered.
"The dog was cool! And the female hero didn't kiss the male hero!"
Spencer sighed.
"The vegetarian meeting."
Tala opened his mouth and closed it.
"… okay, that one was pretty bad."
Fuck, I'd much rather be training than listen to tone deaf singers.
"Oh, so Tala was singing."
Speaking of tone deaf, Tala is up there right now,
Bryan and Kai snickered at that while Tala gaped and stared and Ian just tried to keep his snickers as quiet as possible – he still remembered the threat to his life.
singing a Justin Timberlake song.
Tala blinked at that.
"Is that guy dead too?"
He'd wanted it to be a duet, so he tried to drag one of his teammates up there with him.
Bryan smirked at that.
"I pity you, Kai."
Thus, we had Bryan's sad fate.
"What was that, Bryan?"
Kai smirked turning to Bryan who was staring at the screen, glaring daggers in it.
Bryan did not go willingly by any means.
"No shit, Sherlock."
But anyone who knows Tala knows he is stubborn.
Tala scoffed at that.
"I'm not stubborn. I just have good persuasive skills."
Ian rolled his eyes.
"Ripping your blade into someone's face doesn't count as 'persuasive'."
Tala shrugged.
"They never disagree after."
And once the song started up, Bryan bolted for their table when Tala wasn't looking, for there was no way in hell he'd sing.
Bryan smirked.
"At least I'm smart there."
"You left me alone!" Tala yelled, glaring over Kai's head. And glared some more when Bryan turned to him with big and very fake sweet smile.
"Why would you expect anything else?"
Kai found Bryan's act of defiance humorous, but didn't show any amusement. Instead, he just rolled his eyes and put his earplugs in, thankful for the resource.
Tala rolled his eyes at that.
"Well that is stupid. Like anyone would carry around earplugs just like that."
"I do." Kai muttered and when Tala turned big shocked eyes at him, he shrugged. "Do you know how much pain Tyson is? They are precaution."
He had one dominant
Kai decided to ignore how Tala and Bryan started to snicker.
thought: this was going to be a long night. Especially if Tala actuallythinkshe'll get anyone else up there. He already tried once, but who's to say he won't try again? Multiple times?
Tala nodded.
"And multiple positions. I'm all for trying." He said, throwing a dirty wink at Kai who forced his face to stop from reddening. Or at least that was what he kept telling himself when he felt the warmth getting to his cheeks.
… well… at least it was dark there. He could refuse to admit to anything.
Although the death glares and hand gestures he received
Ian quipped up at that.
"Oh trust me, Tala receives MANY hand gestures. Not sure which one she means at the moment."
should've been more than enough of a warning, or a "Fuck no!", but he'll keep trying.
And so, this is how the escape plans started circulating. Well, Ian's crazy ideas; Spencer's more reasonable ones; Bryan's revenge ideas to "try out"; Kai's silence. They said more than enough for him.
Luckily, or maybe not so luckily, Tala continued singing.
Bryan shook his head.
"No maybe there. It's not so luckily. We're all in horrible pain whenever he does that. I suggest keeping microphone away from him."
Tala glared and pouted, but didn't dare to say anything while the rest of the team was nodding to Bryan's words. Whatever. They were all idiots who didn't appreciate true talent. Hmpf.
The drunk people wanted more, and who was he to deny? The other four did agree on two plans: escape and revenge.
Ian grinned as he looked over at Bryan.
"What should we do today, Bry?"
Bryan smirked right back.
"The same thing we do every day – make sure Tala's out of hair gel."
Tala gaped, jumping out of the seat and pointing a finger at Bryan then turning to glare at that little rat.
"That's YOU! I thought I was going crazy!"
Bryan rolled his eyes.
"No, it just took you US telling you to realize it, because you spent so much gel that you can't really count how long a tube should last you. Now sit down, you're making this painful experience LONGER."
The revenge was the more fun of the two, for obvious reasons, even if it wasn't their best work. It ended up backfiring, unfortunately, because the crowd liked Tala with less clothing and covered in chocolate milk.
Bryan stared at the screen, confused and really not decided – was that actually exciting or horrifying image?
Tala, obviously, didn't have the same problem.
"So would I." He nodded at that. Chocolate and nakedness. What was wrong with that? Unless you were a Bladebreaker, of course. And Kai didn't count into that. He was a Blitzkrieg at heart – hah, take that Japan.
And, apparently, so did he.
Kai lifted an eyebrow at leering Tala. WHAT did he do to deserve this?
Nah. The real revenge is leaving him behind. So he can't have his duet. Or his team there to help him when he gets himself in any kind of trouble. But it meant that the four had a few hours before their tipsy captain got home.
What to do…
Bryan scoffed. Really? Was that even a valid question?
"Traps for when Tala gets back."
Kai lifted an eyebrow.
"Aren't you a bit obsessed? With a thing that's not even real?"
"Traps for when Tala gets back." Now, Kai thought Bryan was being a bit obsessive about it, but he didn't say much. "Hn."
The four people stared at the screen speechless until Ian cleared his throat.
"This is… scarily accurate." He muttered and shrank back in the seat when two heated glares turned his way.
"If you even THINK about touching Kai-" Tala growled and Bryan was hitting his fist into his other hand, looking as menacing as ever, and Ian whimpered and tried to hide behind Spencer.
"I swear I'm not! I like Spencer's and ONLY Spencer's cock."
Spencer rolled his eyes.
"Geez Ian… being with you always makes me feel special."
Spencer shrugged, and said, "I'm going to my room. Got a book to read."
Ian nodded at that.
"The Kamasutra – yeah I was looking forward reading that too."
That just left Kai and Ian. Ian went into the kitchen and got some milk.
Tala groaned.
"I really really want to make a dirty joke about that, but just the idea of Kai and Ian together makes my urge to kill rise."
Kai stayed right where he was; he wasn't thirsty. In fact, he wasn't in the mood for anything at the moment. He felt more than a little bored.
In fact, he was so bored, he was watching Ian.
Kai shook his head.
"I don't have to be bored for that." He pointed out. "I actually do it a lot. It's very interesting to see how a rat can survive in every day life."
"HEY!" Ian frowned and turned to Spencer. "Say something! I'm your boyfriend!"
Spencer shrugged.
"Can't think of anything – maybe if you weren't with me only because of my penis-" Ian groaned.
Not in a creepy stalker way. Just in a slightly curious fashion, as if he were waiting for Ian to do a trick.
"Drop dead." Bryan offered.
Ian noticed this, but paid it no mind. He seemed slightly alarmed though when he came back, because Kai had not taken his eyes off him. Was he expected to do something?
Tala shrugged.
"That dropping that is a good start." Tala said, sweetly and smirked when Ian whimpered in the background. Hah. Serves him right. Who allowed him to give the fans the idea of getting him together with Kai?!
"Kai? You okay?" When Kai didn't respond, Ian waved his hands in his face. "Hello? Anyone in there?! Earth to Kai, come back down from space!"
"And in next second, Ian lost a hand." Kai said and Tala snickered at that.
"Only a hand?"
Kai shrugged.
"Spencer might have use for other parts."
Kai still didn't say a word. Ian was starting to get frustrated; how come Kai wouldn't answer him?
Kai rolled his eyes.
"I don't think that is weird. I usually ignore him."
Maybe I just need a different tactic. The element of surprise. What haven't I done to him yet?
Bryan growled quietly at that, his hand twitching.
"I really hope there is a LOT of that Ian or I will PERSONALLY teach you the trick of dropping dead."
"It's just a story!" Ian yelled. "I don't WANT anything to do with Kai!"
He didn't have to think too long for the answer. However, he felt strange about actually doing it. What drove him to execute was the curiosity; Kai's reaction would surely be worth it… right?
Bryan was cracking his knuckles by then and Tala ignored the text altogether in favor of glaring over at Ian.
"Oh trust me, OUR reaction will be much more fascinating."
Ian took a deep breath, and their lips connected. After a moment, Kai came back to life, but didn't react as predicted; Ian was still there, on his lips.
Bryan growled, Tala let out a sound really similar to a hiss and Kai put his hand over his eyes.
"Now THAT is an image I didn't need."
No, what surprised Ian, and Kai too for that matter, was that Kai was kissing back! Ian was expecting something more along the lines of: "What the hell are you doing? Get off me!" with a shove across the room, and a night of awkwardness.
"How about a night of eternal goodbyes?" And oh god… did Tala hate that little idiot by now.
This was better, he was sure of that. They were starting to progress, even, but then Tala showed up, in all his milky half naked glory. Guess he missed the traps set for him. But only Bryan was truly upset about it. The two came into the room Kai and Ian were inhabiting, and had only one thing to say:
"It's about fucking time…"
"I wasn't talking about the two of you. I was talking it was about fucking time I got home so I could rip Ian a new one!" Tala yelled, attempting to jump over the seats but Kai caught him rolling his eyes.
Kai and Ian looked at each other, expressions mirroring. They were both thinking, what the hell?
All right… be honest. How painful was that?
Bryan's eyebrow twitched.
"You don't know how many circles of hell you just made us go through."
And is it bad that I had fun writing like that about Tala? Tala is really cool, but still… I think I'm reading too many stories with a Tala like this. O.o Oh well. I finally finished this though! Yay!
Thanks for reading, and the review button is nearby! :DDD
chocolatexloverx16
Bryan and Tala slowly stood up, their shoulders tense.
"You have five seconds to run." Bryan said, without turning an inch.
"Five… four… three-"He didn't get much further and he could already hear Ian jumping up and throwing himself against the door begging for it to open, until it finally did and then running away – and Spencer following him with a sigh and quiet 'We have to have a talk about 'cocks'' muttering under his breath.
But that wasn't important right then. What WAS important was them looking over at Kai, who seemed much less horrified as he should be at the story and Tala wondered if he perhaps LIKED it, which was HORRIBLE and Tala will KILL Ian and make sure it looked like an accident, BLOODY accident at that and NO ONE would be able to put all parts of that little rat together, not even SPENCER who knew him much better than anyone else, when Kai offered a little nervous smile to the two of them.
"I decided to give it a try."
He said quietly, so quietly that Tala almost didn't hear him but he DID and the redhead gaped.
"IAN?!"
Bryan hit him over the head, but there was a grin on his face.
"US." He said and Tala's eyes widened even more as his gaze snapped from Bryan to Kai and back, before he lunged himself at Kai and hugged him, feeling happiness swell in his chest for the first time in… in forever.
Just to be kicked in his stomach for the trouble.
"I said I'll try. Not that I'll be your hug toy." Kai glared and stood up, walking out of the room, leaving Tala hugging his poor, poor stomach, but grinning through the pain. Kai decided to give them a try.
He grinned up at Bryan who shook his head and pulled him into a standing position.
"We're not gonna mess this up."
Tala smirked.
"Never."
