Disclaimer:I do not own any of historical figures or/and James Cameron's Titanic. I just use my own vision of them for the story.

No one will ever see
This side reflected,
And if there's something wrong,
Who would have guessed it?
And I have left alone
Everything that I own,
To make you feel like
It's not too late,
It's never too late.
(Three Days Grace, "Never too late")

Thomas Andrews accompanied Rose and Jack with a look. All he could hope that they would survive. He didn't want that two to die on the ship along with the hundreds of other people. They were too young; they had all their beautiful life to live.

'Be safe, Rose. I believe you ll find your place it the world, and live your life happily. I wish you good luck.'

He stopped in the middle of the smoking room. Then sighed deeply, turned back and passed a few steps back. Andrews looked at the clock attentively, seemed to be froze for a minute. Then he heaved his hand up, opened the clock, moved the pointers a little and fixed them. According to his calculations, all had to be finished at 2.20. RMS Titanic was going to disappear in icy Atlantic Ocean depths at 2.20.

'We don't have much time, do we?' He seemed to talk to nobody, but he knew his words were heard, because he was talking to his biggest pride and biggest mistake at the same time.

She was his achievement that she should have never show to the world. She was unsinkable, that what everyone thought.

Now she was dying on his eyes.

'I'm so sorry. I can't protect you from your pain and fear. My own fear is so strong, even though I try to hide it so desperately. But I do it for you,I beg you not to be afraid. '

He heard the approached noise of water and the cries of fear and despair from the deck...or was it just his imagination?..

'Everything will end soon...And I'll stay with you...my...my ship.'

His ship...His creation. His hope. His broken dream.

Everything he laid his hopes on was doomed to sink at 2.20.

'It remained a bit, just a bit,' he whispered.

The desigher sat down on the chair and stood still. He prepared to spend that minutes watching Titanic's death, and his own death as well. He felt he was already ready for it...but why the wait was such painful...

'I know you didn't want to end your maiden voyage here and in such way. You've dreamed to make so many voyages...I'm so guilty. Forgive me. Forgive for I did it to you. Forgive for not turning your dreams into reality. '

The clock showed 2.20. The actual time was 2.05. The last lifeboat hit the water. It remained a bit, just a little bit.

In the memory of all Titanic's victims and in particular Thomas Andrews, the shipbuilder. Rest in peace.
