Greetings.

This is Loroot, the original creator of the story "Collisions." If you saw the notification about a new chapter and thought I had updated this story after a long time, I'm afraid I have some good news and some bad news. If you randomly discovered this story and reached the end only to find this message, again, I'm afraid I have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that this particular published story will not be continuing. Though, you might have guessed this, already, given the amount of time that's passed. It is a very strange thing to revisit this work. I first started publishing chapters for it back in 2009. At that time, I was 15. I am now 23.

On one hand, I would like to say that I believe my writing skills have vastly improved since that age (I actually write stories for a living, now, so I have to be at least a little good). In fact, I find my writing to be a bit cringe-worthy at this point, but I don't regret it one bit. Unfortunately, I would also like to say that the furious requirements of real life have evolved and taken me further and further away from this terrific website and from the act of actually writing fan fiction. I've been writing quite a lot all these years, but just not fan fiction and just not for this site.

Since I last posted, there has been a humble but steady trickling of new readers and comments with some generally positive reviews. First of all, thank you for reading, sincerely. Also, I really am very sorry that I left you hanging there. A clumsy, but ambitious journey ignited before you and then just kind of went nowhere. All in all, I wanted to post at least one message from me to add a bit of closure to this.

Now, up there, I did promise some good news. It's small and probably not as exciting as you might be hoping, but I wanted to make sure it was brought up in some capacity.

It has been over 8 years since I first started writing this thing. Though my life, my writing skills, and my love for the franchises explored in the "Collisions" story have all evolved and changed greatly, one thing has not. I have never stopped fantasizing about this story. Several years ago, I began an endeavor to reboot this crazy story with a completely new start. The overall premise is exactly the same and the overall character arc (as you have read it, so far) is also exactly the same. But the quantity, quality, and flow of the actual writing are quite different and, hopefully, better.

I have been writing it at my own leisure and in my own privacy and it is going SLOOOOOOW! Real life is real life and there is only so much I can do in my spare time. But, it does exist, sparking to life at various intervals throughout the months.

So, alas, there is the good news/bad news. It would be foolish and irresponsible to say with any certainty that you could expect to see this reboot anytime soon. I guarantee you, you won't. But I did just want to take a moment to put it out into the ether of the internet, to whoever may be interested, I have never forgotten about this story or the modicum of interest and support it received from this community. Special thanks to the King of Soda, the first person who ever reviewed anything I ever wrote.

If anyone is really interested, I would be happy to provide a small sample of how the new story is going (about 10 pages worth of content taken from John Connor's experiences in Book 3 of Harry Potter). Again, not to promise more of it anytime soon, but just as an offer of gratitude to any who shows interest. A small sample is really all I could offer at this point in time, anyway.
