Disclaimer: Don't own Inuyasha or DMC

A/N: The new chapters aren't going to follow the previous chapters too much of details and story, so this is me transforming it as I go! Thanks again.

The teen age schoolgirl angrily walked out of the hut and the son of Sparda reluctantly went after her. The room grew awkward, knowing that was reaction they were going to get from Kagome. Inuyasha was so grateful they broke the spell that bonded him to Kagome's verbal commands, he pulled her into an embrace. Lady chuckled nervously as the demon slayer, monk, and wounded child watched from across the room. She can clearly see the appreciation plastered on Inuyasha's face and breaks the awkwardness by clearing her throat.

"Ahem..hah. No big deal." Lady stretches her arms up into the sky and down, extending them behind her back; to mentally create a personal space bubble. "I got tired of the complaining and bickering, just trying ta' get things done."

Sango and Miroku looked at each other and shrugged.

Inuyasha looked down at the beads and scoffed. "Good riddance." He rolled a bead under his toe and let it roll away.

"Inuyasha, Kagome said she was going home." Sango reminded him.

"What's new?" Inuyasha grumbled. "Let her go home then, I'm not gonna stop her."

"You're so stubborn." Miroku groaned. "You obviously don't understand how fragile women are Inuyasha. Kagome's hurt."

"Hurt about what?!" Inuyasha complained. "Hurt that she can't dig a hole in the floor with my body anymore? If anyone should feel hurt, it's my back."

Rin crawled over to the beads and began to pick them up.

Miroku questioned the little girl, "Rin you're still hurt, what are you doing?"

"Lord Sesshomaru might like them." Rin answered, hiding them in her kimono.

"Or she's tryna 'sit' him too" Sango murmured to Miroku.

Miroku replied with a whip cracking gesture, flicking his wrist, "whu-tchh".

Sango elbowed him, "she's a child!" She whispered harshly. Miroku snickered at his perverted thoughts.

Lady walked towards the doorway and lifted the straw flap to see how far Dante and Kagome have gone. "I'm sure Dante's going to bring her back."

"What makes you so sure of that my Lady?" Miroku raised his eyebrow and walked over to take a look.

"Dante took Kagome's necklace and now some other demons have it, including his brother." Lady explained. She had a puzzled look on her face trying to figure out how Vergil entered the feudal era without the shards in the first place, and why he's hanging around other demons.

Sango walked over to the other two wanting an explanation on what Lady knows. Inuyasha laid on his side with his elbow propped up, supporting his head with one hand and tapping the floor with his claws with the other. He reached up to touch his touch neck and sighed, relieved the necklace was gone. He began to think about the possibilities of what he can do now. Yes, he's made good friends along the way, but without being tied down now, he can no longer be stopped.

"I'll get the jewel. First, I'll kill that bastard wolf Kouga, then I'll kill Naraku, and make myself a full fledge demon." Inuyasha boasted.

"What about Kagome?" Sango repeated her previous concern. She shook her head at Inuyasha's stubbornness but was genuinely worried for her without Inuyasha around. Sango doesn't believe that she and Kagome need men to protect them, but understanding her own feelings for Miroku, having him around makes things more bearable.

Inuyasha shrugged his shoulders, too preoccupied with his new-found freedom to express any concern over an emotional ticking time bomb.

"Dante can take care of her." Lady interjected. She crossed her arms and turned towards Inuyasha who was still taking up space on the floor. She knew she could make Inuyasha's skin crawl with the idea of another man protecting Kagome instead of him; he brought up killing Kouga. She smiled slyly and Miroku had an idea where this was going.

Inuyasha's ears twitched, but other than that no response.

"Dante's pretty strong, and fast…with guns. Which has a faster and greater distance kill rate." Lady continued, trying to annoy Inuyasha. "Also, he's not too bad to look at, with his white hair and…red…outfit..."

Everyone in the room imagined Inuyasha and Dante side by side and connected the dots, comparing their physical, biological, and personality traits.

"Protecting her from danger, carrying her to safety if he has to." Lady paced back and forth describing Dante's attributes trying to see what reaction she can get from Inuyasha.

The half-demon continued to tap his claws but at a faster pace, imagining the scenario Lady is describing. He sniffed, trying to prove how unbothered he is.

"He's probably a stronger half demon anyways—"

Inuyasha dragged is claws into the ground with a scratching sound and back into his fist with a pause.

Lady got to him. She grinned at the others and raised her brows directing everyone's eyes onto Inuyasha who was silently fuming. Miroku chuckled at Inuyasha's body language.

Suddenly…

CRASH!

Before Inuyasha could react, the roof of the hut collapsed onto him, burying the half demon. A figure emerged from the cloud of dust and debris. Rin hid in the corner, luckily dodging the attack. Miroku, Sango, and Lady prepared in their fighting stance. Sango's hand reaching for her hidden blade, Miroku gripping his prayer beads, and Lady with her guns pointing at it.

Recognizing who crashed through the roof, "V-Vergil?!" Lady exclaimed.

"Dante? He looks just like Dante, but with shorter hair…" Miroku analyzed, unsure of his intentions.

Vergil looked down and noticed he was standing on Inuyasha, he slightly lifts his foot to take a quick look, "looks like I stepped in dog." He said in a monotone voice as he stepped off.

Sango called out Inuyasha's name, waiting for a response but received none. She looked at Vergil's face and although he looks exactly like Dante, she can tell from his aura that they are nothing alike…except he's also a half-demon…and he's stronger.

"Everyone outside!" Miroku prepared to unwrap his prayer beads, while Rin runs outside and Sango urges Lady to follow. Lady is unsure of what Miroku's power is, but Miroku walks backwards as Vergil slowly begins to approach him.

Once outside, with the two demon slayers still in their battle stances, Miroku decided now is the chance to unleash his wind tunnel.

Sango looked towards the hut and still no sign of Inuyasha.

"Wind Tunnel!" Miroku called out his attack, swallowing everything around them. The trees and loose debris all disappear into Miroku's cursed hand. Sango held Rin and Lady's jaw dropped in awe at Miroku's power, however, she noticed something was off.

Vergil projected a purple shield, using his force field generation, and protected his body from being engulfed into Miroku's hand. The monk stood before him in shock, unsure of his next move. The powerful half demon then, in the blink of an eye, charged towards Miroku and striked the defenseless monk with his gauntlets.

Miroku's body takes the powerful blow and is launched towards the trees.

Lady acts quickly and catches him, but the blow was so powerful that she was still slammed against a tree.

"Miroku!" Sango and Rin run to Miroku's side. Lady fearlessly approached Vergil.

"You're obviously here for me Vergil."

Vergil pulled out the jewel he had stolen from Dante. "I'm here for you and Dante, and the girl with the other shard."

'What does he want with Kagome?' Lady thought to herself. She noticed his eyes shift to her left, she looked back to see Dante and Kagome come out of the forest.

Back in the destroyed hut, Inuyasha finally awakens with whites of his eyes turned blood red.

A/N: I'm still trying with the storyline; I have an idea of where it's going but it depends if I decide to have a more serious or comedic approach. Thank you for your patience! I know some things don't make sense compared to what I've written in the past but bear with me, from ch.9 and onwards there won't be anymore plot holes. Don't forget to review!
