"Okay, first, put the key in the ignition."
"I kind of figured that, Spence."
"Come on, Sam, I'm the teacher!"
"Okay, okay. Calm down, Mr. Shay."
"Now switch to first."
"First what?"
"Gear, Sam. First gear."
"How do I reverse it?"
"I'll get to that. We're not parked backwards, so just put it in first."
"Yes, sir."
"Good. Now slowly give it some gas."
"What's your car's name?"
"Huh? Oh. I haven't named it yet, actually."
"Really? Well, then, I dub thee Monster."
"Scary."
"I know."
"Whoa, whoa! Be careful of Monster! Too much gas!"
"Sorry! Sorry!"
"Stop petting the dashboard, Sam."
"I was comforting her."
"She's fine. Okay, now slowly give Monster some gas."
"Alright."
"Perfect. Whoa, watch for that streetlight!"
"I'm fine, Spencer, calm down. I won't crash ol' Monster here. She and I -- we understand each other."
"You -- ? Whatever. Drive around a little more and then try to park her."
"Where?"
"I don't care. It's a vacant lot, just pick your spot."
"Spencer, you poet."
"I try not to brag. I want you to park backward first."
"You mean I get to reverse it now?"
"Heck yeah. Okay, just take the stick knob thing and line it up with the 'R'."
"Alright. Now what? Just -- gas it?"
"Uh huh. Be careful, though."
"Okay, Monster, I'm gonna park you now."
"Careful...careful...careful...check your mirrors!"
"Oh! Right."
"Awesome! Perfect parking. Now get out."
"Wh-what?"
"I'm taking you to Jen and Berry's for a job well done."
"Sweet. Try not to hurt Monster."
"I won't Sam. Promise."
I don't know how to drive. I guessed on the technicalities of this, I suppose. Heh. Anyways...just a random drabble that was rattling around in my head for a while.
You can review if you want, I won't force you, haha.
