He doesn't love me back.

He's isolated to one side of the bed. Covered in his own semen, sweat, and tears - he wouldn't let Noah clean him off.

For the first time he broke the routine.

He doesn't love me back.

His thoughts echo in his mind. Why didn't he listen to Gwen?

"A-AAH...I l-love you, Noah!"

"Shut up, Cody."

He looks down at his wrists. Noah held them down so tightly he knew they'd bruise.

Just like the each time before this.

People are going to ask questions. People have been asking questions.

Cody doesn't care.

He doesn't love me back

"Shut up, Cody."

He knows he should leave. The bed. The room. The house. He needs to leave.

Shit. Cody can't feel his legs.

Why can't he take back what he said? Take back what he said and spend the night in Noah's arms.

"Shut up, Cody."

Why doesn't he care?

"A-AAH...I l-love you, Noah!"

Why does Cody care?

He doesn't love me back.

Tears are stinging the corners of his eyes. He doesn't want to cry.

Not this close to Noah.

He dresses quietly. The tears he's holding back start to hurt his throat.

He moves through the halls with little noise. He can't wake up Noah's siblings.

The door closes behind him. The street lights are harsh on his eyes.

He doesn't love me back.

He needs someone to listen. Someone who does care.

His parents? No they'd be ashamed.

A friend? No...they can't know that he's...

Gwen? There isn't anyone else.

The cell phone presses against his ear. He waits for the click.

"Gwen..." His voice cracks, the tears finally fall. "He doesn't love me back."

I need Noah.

I'm not really sure if I should continue this, so it's open to opinions.

It's a little bit different than what I usually write, but I'm trying out a different style for this story.

Hope you enjoy!
