Title: Sunstreaker's Woes

Just something I came up with and my reason as to why Sunstreaker wasn't in the 09' movie.

He stood watching as the mech before him walked away to answer the summoning of Optimus Prime's call. He himself would be going with the mech, but due to recent injuries, they were preventing him from doing so.

Prowl had even said that until First Aid had replaced the leg and almost useless arm, he was to stay there.

Meanwhile his twin brother Sideswipe was sent out along with Jolt to head to earth and help Optimus and the others. Besides the first call Optimus had sent out almost 2 solar cycles ago, he had sent out yet another one. This time it was a call for more autobot's to come and fight the recent uprising of decepticon's landing on earth.

Neither twin had ever been so far away from the other for a length of time like they were going to be now. Earth was so far away and just watching Sideswipe walk away like he was, already felt like lightyears since they had seen one another.

This war had lasted too long for his liking and now they were to be separated by it.

Sunstreaker was leaning heavily on Prowl by now, who was helping to hold him up outside the base. First Aid had allowed the warrior to see his brother off, but was ordered back as soon as he was gone.

As he continued to watch his brother walk away he sent a message over their bond to Sideswipe. //Take care of yourself out there, since I won't be able to save your aft//

Sideswipe stopped his walking and turned to look at Sunstreaker, a sly grin coming over his face. //No worries Sunshine// giving a small laugh over their bond as Sunstreaker growled at the nickname. Prowl gave him a quizzical look at his growl, but did not say anything as Sideswipe continued speaking. //When you arrive on earth those cons won't stand a chance with us together again. Don't take too long in coming though//

Sideswipe turned around once again, but not before making a gesture over his chest area, that Sunstreaker understood immediately. It was their own unique way of saying, I love you, to one another.

//I love you too Sides// Sunstreaker called back over their bond as he watched his brother taking off into space.

Sunstreaker continued to stand there with Prowl until he could no longer feel his brother over their bond. Then slowly both he and Prowl turned and walked into the base, Sunstreaker dreading the solar cycles yet to come.
