I kick my feet in the water, wind gently blowing around me. My trusted partners are around me, released temporarily as I wonder on the beach.

… Where do I go from here? Don't get me wrong. I've done a lot, especially for a child. But because I've done so much, I don't know what to do now.

I battled my Rival with my first Pokémon and won.

I battled Brock, the gym leader of Pewter City, for my first badge and won.

I battled Team Rocket at Mt. Moon and won.

I battled my Rival at the foot of Nugget Bridge and won again.

I battled Misty of Cerulean City for my second badge and won.

I battled my Rival again on the SS Anne and won.

I battled Lt. Surge of Vermillion City for my third badge and won.

I battled my Rival in Pokémon Tower and won.

I battled Giovanni in his Celadon Hideout and won.

I battled Erika of Celadon City for my fourth badge and won.

I battled Team Rocket at the top of Pokémon Tower.

I battled Koga of Fuchsia City for my fifth badge and won.

I battled Giovanni at Silph Company and won.

I battled Sabrina of Saffron City for my sixth badge and won.

I battled Blaine of Cinnabar Island for my seventh badge and won.

I battle Giovanni for my eighth badge and won.

I battled the Elite Four and won.

I battled the Champion, my Rival, and won.

I battled remnants of Teams Rocket on the Sevii Islands and won.

I've battled and won. Battled and won. So what do I do now? There is no one left to battle. My Rival has given up his dream. The Elite Four are too easy to defeat now.

Sure, there might be some legendary Pokémon to find. But…

All I know is how to battle and how to win. What do I do, now that there is no one to battle?

Perhaps another region? On the other side of the Indigo Plateau lies Johto. And there was that odd region, Hoenn that Celio mentioned. Maybe I'll go there and challenge the trainers there. And win.

Because all I know is to battle and to win.
