Unexpected Confession

Sanji had never had any intention to confess his love. Yes, he might always be so passionate to the girls, but he had never felt this kind of love towards them; this love he felt for a certain cute black haired captain.

Sanji wouldn't mind dying for protecting his Nakama, but he felt he had to live for his captain's sake. He wanted to be with him. He didn't want to leave him. That was the kind of feeling he had for him.

He didn't have to confess this kind of feeling to his captain, because Sanji believed, he had already known it. Moreover—

"Sanji, I love you!" Luffy said while hugging Sanji's neck cheerily in huge appreciation when the blond cook feed him some extra meats after the dinner.

—Luffy always told him how he loved him in this cute innocent way. It made Sanji more and more reluctant to end this kind of relationship with his captain.

Yes, Sanji loved Luffy the way it was. Luffy loved all his nakama this way, Sanji didn't mind that and the cook didn't really need to confess or to point out how his love was different from him, how he wanted to monopolize his captain's gaze on him.

Still…sometimes feeling didn't get through others without words. When Sanji saw that dark haired woman was all over Luffy, obviously trying to impress him with her cute face and sexy body, Sanji didn't know what kind of ugly feeling he had.

She was not even their nakama but she acted as if Luffy were hers. Sanji didn't like it at all. Of course, she was really beautiful, the Queen of Pirate, he believed, but it didn't mean she could just snatch Luffy from them, from him. So…in the midst of confusion and perplexity, Sanji finally confessed.

"Luffy…I am in love with you…,"

Sanji didn't know what kind of face he made right now, but he could guess it was pretty horrible because the captain widened his eyes at him, shocked expression there. Sanji knew he couldn't take it back, because now his captain knew his true feeling and he would definitely think of him differently from now on. Sanji had prepared himself for the worst.

"At last…," Sanji raised up his head at the unexpected words. "I've been waiting for you to return my feelings!" Luffy said while smiling widely at him.

"Eh?" Now Sanji was definitely dumbfounded.

"What, you didn't realize it?" Luffy asked in wonder, surprised that Sanji was so slow. "I always tell you 'I love you' after dinner right?"

"But…wasn't that just a 'thank you'?" Sanji asked, bewildered.

Luffy laughed at that. "Silly, no one would say 'thank you' like that!" the straw-hat captain chuckled while hugging Sanji's neck and kissed his cheek passionately, making the blond cook blush. "Don't you realize it? I've never said 'I love you' to anyone but you," the shorter man continued, now looking at Sanji with all of his love he had towards him.

Sanji couldn't help smiling at the cute boy in his arms. "Yeah…sorry for not realizing it fast enough," he said and kissed his captain softly in return.
