Hailstorm

A/N This is a drabble series featuring JubiaxGray because I love that pairing. ^^ Of course I don't own Fairy Tail or any of its characters...

One: A Princess for My Castle

Jubia watched him curiously as he began shaping something out of ice. He was doing it slow and carefully, and unlike most of his creations, he was making small sections at a time instead of shaping the whole thing at once. Of course, that was because whatever it was, it was massive.

"Jubia is curious to know what Gray-sama is doing."

Gray lowered his hands, a bit startled that she was standing behind him, but he really shouldn't have been, since whenever he wanted to find her, he really just needed to turn around to find himself staring into her adoring eyes. It was one of those things that was convenient and cute sometimes, but really creepy at others. At the moment, he was amused and he allowed a smile to play across his lips. "I'm making my Fantasia float... And how many times do I have to tell you that you don't need to use 'sama' with me? Just call me Gray."

Her gaze dropped to the ground for an instant before she nodded. "Sorry, Gray..." Her gaze found its way back to staring into his eyes, like it always did. "What is your float going to be?"

His smile grew into one that would have inevitably made her swoon had he not turned away at that instant to focus on his ice creation. "You'll see soon enough..." He shifted slightly a bit uncomfortable in the clothes he wore as he began shaping again, but he found himself hesitant at taking them off in front of Jubia. Not because he was embarrassed of course- he had been quick to learn how to ignore those types of feelings- but because he knew that if he did the water mage could quite possibly swoon, faint, and end up hurting herself by falling on the floor. Now, normally Gray had never thought about consequences of removing his clothes ahead of time, but it had happened too many times for him to ignore it. He continued his shaping, nodding in satisfaction at the results.

"Is that a castle?" Jubia asked, staring up at the massive shape. A few moments later, the shape was further define, making her gasp in wonderment. "It's beautiful!"

The ice mage stepped back a few moments later after shaping the tiny details and finishing touches. He nodded in approval. "Thanks... But there's something missing."

"Missing?" she blinked, looking confused. It was beautifully designed, and she couldn't see a single flaw in the castle, which looked like it was made of shining crystal.

"Yeah, we have a castle and a prince- me- but I'm missing the most important thing... I need a princess. Do you happen to know where I can find one?" He smiled, tilting his head invitingly.

Jubia opened her mouth to reply, but seemed to lose her nerve, glancing down with a blush. "No... I don't know where you could find one..."

"Oh really?" Gray looked amused. "Because I think I see one right in front of me."

A/N Yep, this took place around chapter 128, when you can see Gray and Jubia riding that float together. It made me go awwww, because I thought it was cute.
