He learned a lot in hell. First time he had a doctor on the rack, he sliced off a joint, displayed it, got the names… he loved getting doctors after that. He could have totally aced an anatomy exam.

He worked gentle fingers around the joint. "Your talofibular ligaments are hot. Sprained ankle. Hot and cold compresses."

Sam looked at him funny.

"What?"

"'Talofibular ligaments'?"

"I know stuff. Patched up you and Dad enough." Looking down, he reached for the whiskey.
