He stands by the window, Thinking about his life. Kurt stays there long after the speck of a motorcycle with its lone rider has left. Logan's leaving again. For how long, nobody ever knows. Maybe he won't come back this time. Kurt's heart is slowly breaking, and Nobody has any idea. Because nobody is close to him. Never will be. Kurt is just another student, not even a friend. He lets his tears fall, not noticing the figure scaling the wall below his window. Not until they knock, startling Kurt into letting them in. A pair of thin, but strong arms wrap around Kurt; long fingers brushing away the salt water.

"I can't compare, yo, I'm not your Mom" a whisper in the darkness. "But I'm here for you, man."

And Kurt collapses into it, wrapping his own arms around the wiry body, holding on to stop himself falling to his knees. He doesn't remember why he's crying any more, it just seems like it's always been like this. He only feels the comforting weight of Todd's grip. He can't even remember why he's crying. Then he sees. He remembers and he realises. And realises with a pang, what he's been doing to Todd. Kurt knows now it's his fault. Nobody's shunning him or rejecting him. Kurt's been tormenting himself. He can't stop the sobs, and Todd holds him closer, whispering "Shhh" into his delicately pointed ear, stroking his blue-black hair, but he doesn't know why any more. No. Kurt sees now, Todd's been doing this, taking what he can, wanting to be close to Kurt, needing him as Kurt thought he needed someone. He has been needing someone, but refusing to accept any help. Keeping himself away, feeling sorry for himself. "Oh Todd, I'm sorry…" He forces out.

"What for, yo?" But the tone gives away Todd's hope, his unbelief.

"For ignoring you. I've been so…so selfish." Kurt swallows down the lump in his throat.

"I'm determined to space myself from you all, it seems. Convincing myself I have no friends, that nobody likes me, when you've been so good to me. I've driven people away…" he chokes back a sob.

"Nah, man. Sorry to say, but you're right. We're both misfits. You've only got me. And you got nothin' to be sorry for."

"I do, I do, I've been so cold." Kurt looks up, halting the hand stroking his face, and looks into Todd's eyes. The eyes that are a similar colour to his, with just a hint of crimson deep in them. The delicate, untouched lips. Kurt wants them now more than anything. He moves forward so they are touching, his delicate tongue swiping the tops of Todd's teeth. Some of them are slightly crooked; clean but not ortho-perfect. He's not Scott Summers, not by a long shot, but he's Todd Tolensky, he's real, and he's Kurt's. Todd's heart is beating fast, Kurt can feel it. He places a hand over it, feeling the life. Kurt's never been so happy, because Todd kisses back, frantic and demanding, but naturally, like they've always been like this. His fingers tangle up in Kurt's hair, his head tilts to the side so he can feel Kurt's velveteen fur on his pale cheek. Todd looks over to the mirror by chance, and sees them, light against dark, entwined, with Kurt's tail wrapped around them in an embrace. Kurt bites down with delicate fangs, letting Todd's tongue explore his mouth, lingering on his unusual points, as if Todd's determined to find out every little thing about Kurt.

And Kurt's determined to let him.
