Some freak in Montana is kidnapping kids and it actually makes Derek Morgan happy.

They're hustled onto the plane; ready bags in hand, folders holding pictures of the horrible scene waiting for them. It's just another day, just another case.

But it makes Morgan happy. You see, it's a very simple thing.

At home, when there's only paperwork and laundry that demands their attention….Spencer Reid doesn't come to him. Doesn't come to him seeking love and comfort. Doesn't treat him as anymore more then a mere coworker.

But during cases, when they're out on the field, chasing sick bastard after sick bastard, Spencer comes to him at night.

At first it had been awkward. Almost so much had forced them apart that it hadn't happened again. Almost.

But when Reid knocked on his hotel door two weeks later, Morgan had to keep himself from running to the door. Slowly it became a pattern, night after night. Awkwardness faded then was gone, replaced with affection and devotion.

With comfort and support. With love…at lest for one of them.

Some freak in Montana is kidnapping kids and it makes Morgan happy.

But it's just for now, though, he tells himself.

Morgan knows it's only a matter of time before Reid comes to him out of more then just fear. And until then…he's happy when some freak is on the loose…it means he gets to be with Spencer.
