Well, I want to begin this by stating categorically that this is not a chapter. I apologise for anyone receiving an alert and maybe getting their hopes up. I began this story in 2009 and haven't updated in nearly two years. It was only the second story that I have written for this website and real life had a tendency to get in the way toward the end. Even though I greatly enjoyed writing and sharing this story with you all; I cannot even begin to describe how much I appreciate your feedback; I hate to say that I don't think that I will be able to finish this story. I want to apologise profusely to anyone who has taken the time to read this or any of my stories. A ridiculous amount of time has passed since I have written anything, that pesky thing called real life has gotten in the way. I began writing for this website towards the beginning of secondary school and now am in second year in University, as such I don't even think I would know where to begin to tackle finishing this story. As a result, I am handing the story over to all of you, I would like to give anyone who is interested the opportunity to adopt and continue my story and/or my ideas on . I realise that this will seem quite late, and perhaps somewhat out of the blue, but I feel like I kept telling myself that I would come back and finish it when I got the chance, at some stage, but it never happened. I just want to ensure that anyone who ever read any of my story understands what it meant to me that they took the time to read my story and give me feedback, the vast majority of which was positive and encouraging. Hopefully, this will act as an opportunity for another Fanfiction writer to give the story a suitable and satisfactory ending. All I ask is that anyone leave a link to their version or re-imagining of WITWD for the benefit of the previous readers, and also because I'd love to give it a read! I realise that this is not ideal by way of closure, but hopefully it is something. Thank you for reading What if Things were Different.

I have always loved reading and writing and as such I hope I will be able to return as a writer, some time soon.
Thank You Readers,
Kate.
