I thought of this while eating dinner O.O And was inspired by a fanfic called "A Thousand Words" by MyVampireEyes (you should definitely read her fanfics! I highly recommend it x3).
So here is a short one-shot/drabble that I came up with. Might suck so here's a warning -.-" And Amu is around 23 throughout this whole fanfic.
Disclaimer: I do not own Shugo Chara! in any way.
I love you.
Why is it so hard to say?
"Amu, I love you."
I knew he loved me. I loved him too. He also confessed and said those three words. But I didn't. I couldn't. It was too hard for some reason.
"Ikuto, I…"
I slowly walked through the empty and sinister area.
"What is it, Amu?"
"I…"
My grip on the bouquet of roses I was clutching tightened.
"Amu, meet me at the café at four."
"Why?"
"It's a surprise."
I regret not saying it.
"News flash! An accident has just occurred on the streets of our hometown at 3:58 p.m…"
Why couldn't I say it?
"Miss, this was found in his pockets. I believe it is for you." I opened the box and the tears flowed down my cheeks.
As I was plodding through the place, the sun's rays bounced off of the golden band on my ring finger.
Engraved on the ring was 'I love you'.
I stopped in front of my destination.
"Hinamori-san, are you married?" Her eyes shone with curiosity.
"…Yes."
I bent down and placed the flowers in front of the gravestone that read:
Tsukiyomi Ikuto
December 1, 19XX – September 24, 20XX
Loving Son, Brother, and Fiancé
A tear slid down my face.
"I love you."
Why couldn't I say those three words to him before?
How was it? Did you guys like it? Hate it? Tell me what you think!
Please R&R!
And do you know why the second date was important?
