Usagi was alone. Sitting in the middle of the Crown, people bustling around her and talking loudly, drinks clinking and food being devoured, the heart inside of Usagi was empty. She didn't bother ordering any food; she knew it wouldn't be eaten. She didn't order anything to drink for the same reason. She wasn't thirsty. With eyes down and lashes brushing against her cheeks, chin brushing the fabric of her shirt and hands clenched painfully into the folds of her skirt, Usagi stared at the table.

She was waiting.

The door jingled the entrance of a customer, and then shut. Footsteps twined carefully around tables occupied by laughing strangers and made their way over quietly. A warm hand slowly touched the back of the blonde's neck, sliding around until an arm suddenly grabbed Usagi's shoulder and hugged her furiously, face burying into her hair. Usagi reached up a trembling hand and placed it onto a thin arm, grasping helplessly, her face still turned away.

Her voice thick, she sighed, the air whistling out of her heavy chest. The breath on the back of her neck was warm, small puffs causing goose bumps to rise, and haggard, sobs catching. Slowly, fingers trailed desperately through her free hair, cascading around her shoulders and catching gold in the arcade lights.

Turning, Usagi's eyes, so sad, met equally afraid eyes rimmed with uncertainty but filled with anguished lust and need. Uncharacteristic boldness glistened in the eyes that caught hers and would not let go. Bringing up a hand, she slowly caressed a soft cheek, feeling heat racing to meet her fingertips as she brushed ever so slightly soft lips that opened for her.

She shivered, and suddenly she was kissing hard, desperately, needing the girl that stood behind her, wrapped so totally around shoulders that were slightly higher than hers, fingers twining and clutching soft blue hair at the base of her neck, feeling soft breasts push against her own and tingling where hands framed her face, kissing back, hotly, wetly, deeply.

They separated only when air needed to be breathed, breath mixing and hot against both lips, swollen. They kissed again, trembling and uncaring the expressions around them, loud in the silence beating in their hearts.

Usagi and Ami kissed until everything else went away.
