Prologue

I was shocked. I never thought that this would happen, but yet it did. Now I had no reason to live.

Chapter one: Someone At The Door

ANNABEL

Me and my friends were walking up the street when we saw him. Tall, muscular, and evil-looking. "Let's go this way. He is creeping me out." whispered my friend. "Okay. Lets go." I whispered back. We headed towards Walmart, when we heard him speak. "Annabel, can you come over here please? I want to talk to you for a second." I froze, and slowly turned my head towards my friend. "Should I go and see what he wants?" I asked her, shaking because I was nervous about why he wanted to talk to me. "Yeah go and see what he wants. If he seems to threaten you give me a thumbs up behind your back and I'll come over and rescue you." said my friend.

I sighed. "Okay." I started to walk back to where he was standing. "What do you want, Owen?" I asked him once we were within speaking distance. " I was wondering- well actually Ms. Hernandez was wondering if you could help me with my English homework, cause you are the only one in the grade who is not suffering with their grades in any classes. So can you um, help me? Like be a tutor or whatever they call it?" He asked while looking down at his feet. " Uh- sure. I guess. When do you want to meet?" I asked. " Maybe tomorrow at lunch? Or we could meet at the park after school . Your choice." He said, still looking at his feet. " I think we should do it tomorrow at lunch, cause I have a concert that I will be performing at." I said. "Okay." I didn't know what else to say, so I didn't say anything I just walked back towards Walmart, then I informed my friends what Owen Armstrong had wanted.

That's when I woke up. I had just dreamed about what had happened the previous day, on the way to school. Today was the day that I had agreed to help Owen with his English assignments. My friends were now pissed at me because I had chosen to help him with his homework, then gossip about the freaks in the school. I told them that the only reason why I agreed to help him was because I knew that it was the right thing to do, to help him.

I stretched, and got ready for school. My nerd of a brother, Evan, came into my room as I was about to leave it. "Annabel you're helping Owen Armstrong with his homework?!?! And I thought I was the crazy one." He said, trying to hide a laugh. "EVAN! GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" I yelled, grabbing him by the ear and pulling him towards his room. Once I took care of the brat, I headed downstairs. "Bye, mom! I'm going to stop over at Sarah's before I go to the bus stop!" I yelled, knowing my mom would hear. " Okay! Don't miss the bus though!" said mom, from somewhere in the house .I walked out the door, right into Owen Armstrong.

What is Owen doing at her house? What does he want? Find out in Chapter Two. Please Review. The more you guys review, the faster I will post the next chapters.
