I had to re-write this a thousand times before I actually liked it, but in the end I love this one.

It's a gift for Spiritwave13, so I hope you like it!

I would have added more romance, but really couldn't see these two in a fluffy situation, so this came to my mind.

Anyways, please excuse any grammatical mistakes, as my first language is Spanish, and I'm in a French school. I learned English by playing fucking Neopets. So… I try my best to make my fanfiction error-free. And I don't have a beta *hinthint*.

Disclaimer: I don't own. Square Enix and Disney own.

"I'm telling you, he's real!" a spiky haired blonde roared, but no one heard him. The door in front of him was closed violently by a nurse, and he heard a "click" indicating the lock.

Mental hospital number four.

"Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!" shouted Cloud. No one believed in what he said. "He exists! Sephiroth exists!"

He punched the white door violently, but obtained nothing but bruised knuckles.

Until a man in a white coat came. Brown hair, a scar between his gold eyes, pretty young for a doctor. How odd.

"Ah, good morning, Cloud." The man spoke in a soft manner, but anyone who heard his voice would have noticed the hypocrisy that lay underneath. Protocol. "How are you doing?"

Said patient didn't answer.

But that didn't stop the doctor from talking to him. The younger man was his patient after all.

Ten months went on like that, with the elder trying to get the blonde to talk. Unsuccessfully at first, but surprisingly, it worked after some time. Not as much as he would have wanted him to, but still a lot.

And the more he heard, the more convinced he was.

Cloud was not crazy.

It had been exactly a year and four days – that is, 370 days – when he came up with a plan

He was sick of that place. As was his favorite patient.

He refused to admit thinking that last thing, though.

There was one night when he secretly entered the mental institution and, with a key stolen from nurse Larxene (who seemed to need more help than any of the patients), opened the door to Cloud's room.

"What are you doing here?" asked the younger man when he saw his caretaker.

"Why don't you guess?" was Leon's only answer, as he sat next to him on the bed.

The blonde decided to ignore what might have been an innuendo and just said two words.

"Enlighten me."

"Let's get the fuck out of here."

Although the spiky-haired man couldn't believe what he was being told, he didn't doubt. Dr. Leon was the only one who actually believed Sephiroth was real.

Nobody saw them leaving in the elder's motorcycle. But everyone wondered where they were the next morning, and the days to come.

And when Cloud asked where they were going, Leon just answered with a peck on his lips and a smirk.
