Does this really work? This "clock test"? I'd just picked up some book at the library on how to tell if a boy is into you and was in the middle of reading it.

We were all just sitting around, looking over our lines for the Chad Dylan Cooper movie but I already had mine down flat. I remember every interaction I've ever had with Chad.

So, I was reading a section titled "The Clock Test" which claims if you abruptly turn your head to look at a clock, anybody who was staring at you will look up at it too. If you look back at them fast enough, you can catch them.

Hmmm…I could try it with Nico?

1…2…3! I spin my head as quick as I can to check the time over on the wall. Then, I glance at Nico. Nope, he's failed the test.

Grady? Ready and…GO! …Okay, another no. Not too disappointing.

But am I really that hideous? Can't anybody here like me??

Oooh, how about that cute extra sitting over there? And…NOW-OWWW!! I think I just got whiplash, gosh darn it!

I sigh and am about to look back down when someone finally speaks.

"Woah…" Chad says, his eyes fixated up, "It's 3 o'clock already?"

Haha…okay, I can live with that.
