Man, I've been wanting to write something for these two forever. And now I finally am! I hope it's good enough considering its length. And I also hope that I'm following the plot. My memory epically fails.

I do not own any of these characters. They belong to tri-Ace.

She really did not like him. At all. Nearly every greeting was preceded by a scowl of some sort, or she would just stick her tongue out and not say anything at all. Lymle's behavior baffled everyone, but it confused Faize the most.

And being the knowledge-seeking Eldarian that he was, he set out to figure out exactly why Lymle disliked him so much. If she would even talk to him, that is.

The young girl skipped about the ship with Cerberus, each without any particular destination. After all, they still had quite some time before they reached Roak. She hummed a rather happy tune, sounding similar to one Reimi taught her the day before. Lymle was far too caught up in her skipping and singing to pay any attention to the person just a few feet ahead of her calling out her name, until her small forehead made contact with the visitor's hard knee.

"Ouchie!" she exclaimed before rubbing her slightly swollen forehead. "Watch where you're going, 'kay?" she added while still staring at the floor.

"Don't be silly, Lymle. You're the one who wasn't watching where they were going," the taller person argued back.

Lymle froze. Only one person on this ship used her real name. She formed her trademark pout before even looking up all the way at his face. "I am not silly!"

Faize flinched, realizing his mistake in insulting the girl. He was trying to get her to talk to him, not further shun him. "I-I'm sorry… You're not silly. I'll watch where I'm going next time, okay?"

Without any words, Lymle nodded and rubbed her head again.

"So," Faize began, but quickly stopped when Lymle interrupted.

"Come on, Doggie, let's go."

"W-Wait a second, Lymle! Don't leave yet. Please."

Her pout turned into a look of frustration and annoyance as she glanced back up at the Eldarian. "What?"

"Can I ask you a question?"

Lymle's large doll-like eyes looked away for a second as she pondered over her answer. Cerberus waited patiently in the background, swaying his fiery tail back and forth. "Fine. But make it quick, 'kay?"

Faize nodded, feeling relieved that Lymle did not turn him away for once.

"Why do you dislike me so much?"

The question certainly caught her off guard, for the aggravated expression quickly melted off of her face. Faize took the silence as a sign to continue.

"If it was from what I said when we first met, then I am truly sorry. I do not think that you are weak at all after seeing you in combat." He nervously shifted his weight to the other foot, anticipating her answer.

While he spoke, Lymle tried to think of a sensible reason, but her young mind argued with her actual age and she ended up with an answer much shorter. "You…" a small pause as she took a moment to fix her eyes upon her enemy's face. "You're weird."

If it were physically possible, Faize's jaw would have dropped to the floor. "Because… I'm weird? But, that doesn't make any sense!"

"It does too, 'kay? So can I go now?" She began to swing back and forth impatiently. Cerberus also began to hit the floor with his tail in irritation.

Faize blinked a couple of times before shaking his head in defeat, brining his hand to his forehead. He sighed then said, "Okay, okay… you can go."

Lymle ran back to Cerberus without any hesitation.

As they walked the other way, Faize tried again to understand what Lymle meant. "Weird… She thinks I'm weird… but is that really enough to hate me?" With another sigh, he turned around and began to walk.

"Well, at least she answered my question."
