Shopping Spree

A/N: This is my first ever Twilight Fanfic! I thought of this right after I was done reading Breaking Dawn so enjoy!

Summary: While Edward is out hunting, Emmett and Bella go food shopping for Renesmee.

Went out hunting, sorry if you wanted to come with me. I will be back in a little bit. If I had a heart it would be yours, Edward.

I stuffed the note into my pocket. I had just ran from Jake's house to get Nessie. I frowned at the nickname. The thought of having my child nicknamed after the Loch Ness Monster was revolting. I was in the cottage with Renesmee. I could hear the footsteps of someone approaching the door. Emmett? I ran to go get it with Renesmee in my arms.

"What do you want Emmett?" I asked him when I opened the door.

"Nothing, I'm bored to tears." Like Emmett would shed a tear, "What are you up to?"

"I was just about to take Nessie food shopping."

"Great I'll come with," he invited himself.

"Em, I never said you could come."

"Bella, may I join you and Renesmee on your trip to the grocery store?"

I let out a giggle, "Yes Emmett, you may join my daughter and I on our trip to the grocery store."

"Awesome."

Bella and I had argued on what car to take. I voted for my Jeep and she voted for Edward's Volvo. She had won because I had been a suck up. She had whined and said she didn't want to be seen in my filthy car. I said Edward's Volvo would make us look like a couple and we already had the kid. She glared at me with puppy dog eyes and well, you know what happened.

"Mama, I'm hungry," It was very rare for Nessie to speak; I haven't heard her voice in almost two weeks.

"Nessie we're going to the store now," Bella kept her eyes on the road.

"Hey Bella, there is a McDonalds over there," I pointed to it. She pulled into a parking spot. "Nessie don't you want something to eat?" She clapped her hands. "I'll take her in to get something." Bella let out a sigh and sat still.

I went to go get Nessie from the back seat, but she was already out.

We came back with her food. She had some French fries and a shake. "Thank you!" Nessie told me.

"No problem kid." I strapped her back into her car seat. I got into the passenger seat next to Bella. I looked at her. "We can go now." She shot me a fierce glare. She sighed again and drove off.

We got Nessie some snacks at the grocery store and we were checking out now. The lady at the counter's name tag said her name was Linda. She was about 20 years old.

"You two make a cute couple," she told us. What?!

"No, no we're not a couple, we're just brother and sister," I told her. She eyed Renesmee.

"That's my daughter," Bella said. "This is her uncle," she gestured towards me.

When we were back at the house we were sitting on the couch watching television.

"Well, what happened at the store was kind of…weird," I said.

"Certainly." That's when Edward walked in.

"What did you two do all day?" He asked.

"O, nothing" We said together
