A Happy Feeling

Hihara Kazuki had a happy feeling when he played his trumpet with her violin. It was a sensation that sprung from inside his chest and spread all over his body. The light and heady feeling of floating in the air was hard to forget.

He first heard the music come alive with her talented hands. Then he heard the happiness and the delight that coursed through her body and into her violin. His golden eyes had widened as he stared at her-she stood with her back to the sunset, her red hair throwing fire into the sky- and he thought he saw the music flow from her burning heart.

It struck him in that one single perfect moment that he found a girl after his own heart. He'd met a girl who loved music as much as he did; he became friends with a young woman who also burned with so much passion. Maybe that was the moment he fell in love.

Kazuki knew that he was experiencing a rare and beautiful emotion whenever he looked at her. His heart seemed to burst spontaneously into song. Even if she seemed unaware of it, he was not going to give up hope. One of these days she might realize that she was the source of his happiness.
