"Go back to your boyfriend, Pete."
Gary's tone was sarcastic. It was his usual tone-he was Gary Smith-but the hint of jealousy that laced his spited tone was new. He had had…Fuck, he didn't want to even think it…He had been having strange feelings around Femme-Boy lately.
At first he thought he just wanted to screw him. Then when he saw Ethan picking on Petey, he had gotten angry, but he just passed it off as him getting mad because someone else was picking on his slave. But then the dreams started to happen. Now, THAT was a wake-up call.
"He isn't my boyfriend…" Petey muttered. There was a light tinge of pink on his cheeks, making Gary think he was lying. Either that or he wanted James to be his boyfriend.
"What? To shy to give him all of those poems you write about him?"
Gary didn't actually have any proof of said poems existing of course. Why would he? It wasn't like he stalked Femme-Boy around or anything.
Lying to yourself was hard, even if you lied to everyone around you.
"Poems?" Petey actually looked a little confused. Looks like whatever Gary had seen him scribbling so often when ever he just happened to pass by wasn't poetry to James Hopkins after all. "Gary, I don't write poetry. I came to show you what I was doing." Ah. That explains why Petey had found him when it was normally the other way around. "Here." Petey pulled out a sketchbook, seemingly from nowhere. "We've been doing themes lately in art class. This week's theme was false innocence." Petey turned to the most recently used page. On it was a sketch of Gary smirking. From the looks of it, Femme-Boy had tried really had. "Most people were drawing someone they didn't like sleeping or something. You know, how people look innocent and peaceful when they sleep? But, I thought of you."
"Ah, how touching."
Gary was actually surprised at Petey's effort. He refused to show it though.
"At first I didn't know how to draw you." Petey went on, ignoring Gary's sarcasm. "I couldn't decide the pose or anything." He flipped back a few pages, showing all of the failed attempts. "But then it struck me. I should just draw you as you. As the way you normally are. Nothing is more false then that." Gary didn't know if Pete was being a smartass. Considering it was Petey thought, he doubted it. "So, anyway, I decided to ask you if it was okay to turn in first before I did."
"Ah, Femme-Boy," Gary slung an arm around Petey's shoulder. "Let's see if you can draw a more interesting picture of me in our room."
Gary wondered if Petey got what he was hinting at. Going by the blush on his face, he did.
"This one you can't turn in, of course."
"O-of course, Gary."
