I sat as far away from her and Adrian. I knew something was up the entire time. No one believed me. Rose seemed to know something, but refused to tell me.
Flashback
"Lissa, can you maybe lower the time during the spirit training?" I asked.
"Why, Christian? Me and Adrian have been making so much progress. I mean, Adrian's healing is getting better, and I was able to dream walk into his dream last night." Lissa was happy she had accomplished something. So was I, but why hadn't she walked into my dream, instead of his?
Choosing to ignore the little nagging voice in the back of my head, I looked down, then back up. "I don't like the way he looks at you. Besides the fact he's always making you laugh."
She gave me a small smile. "Your imaging things. I don't even like him. You know he has that spirit thing that brings people to him."
I shrugged, walking away.
End of Flashback
Yeah, I knew that the spirit charisma did that, but I was pretty sure that it just made them pay more attention to them. Not go off and flirt with him. Then later probably have sex with.
She didn't understand what I was saying. But she was wrong. Does she believe me now? Apparently I wasn't crazy.
Flashback
"Christian! Calm down! You know me better than that!" Lissa yelled at me, as I told her what I saw during the spirit session.
"Lissa, he was grabbing your ass! Cant help the facts!" I yelled back at her. The man that had groped her.
Adrian spoke when he saw me and Lissa were steaming. "What's going on?" Adrian's words were slightly slurred, telling me he's been drinking.
"That ass is what's going on." Lissa turned around and started walking away. I started following, but she stopped, and turned her head towards me. "Christian, stay away from me right now."
Me and Adrian stood there for a moment, then he started to follow her.
End of Flashback
I was an idiot, letting him follow her. That should have told me something, that she would let him follow her. Not her own boyfriend, but the man I knew wanted her. He saw our moment of weakness. He was the one that caused it. I knew I wasn't crazy. I knew I wasn't imaging anything. Rose should have been here, telling me what was truly going on. I knew she didn't like me, but I was pretty sure that if Lissa was cheating on me, Rose would have told me. Hell, she told me she was going crazy.
Getting up and throwing away my food, I walked towards Lissa and Adrian. They looked up at me as I approached them.
"Guess I wasn't crazy, huh, Lissa? Guess I wasn't imaging anything? And you both knew it. So do you believe me now? I knew what I was talking about, and you choose to ignore what I was saying. So do you believe me now?" I said to Lissa.
When Lissa started crying, I had the urge to comfort her and apologize. But I knew I couldn't. She finally understood that I knew it all along, knew that she had been an open book.
I didn't like that. The fact that she was being held by him upset me. Being able to sleep with her hurt me.
Just because I was right didn't help anything. I didn't have anyone with me now, so what was the point in it?
Walking along, I realized just how much I truly wished I had never been right.
