A/N: This story was originally started in 2009 (It's now November in 2016), I've suddenly found it after many years and decided to have another swing at it.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Roxas will you quit hitting your head on the table? People are starting to stare" Sora, Roxas's brunette haired twin brother, hissed across the table.

"Why? There's no point." Roxas's response was the followed by more of his skull kissing the diner table. Sora just watched in amazement as the bunch of blonde hair was able to thump the table so many times with out losing consciousness and falling out of the booth on to the floor. Eventually Roxas stopped and just left his head resting on the table.

"Roxas" The brunette let out with a sigh, "I know it must hurt losing your boyfriend, again, but you've got to get over it. Honestly what is beating yourself to death in the middle of a diner going to accomplish besides giving you a huge bruise and embarrassing yourself?" Sora reached across the table and gently patted the blonde mass of hair that was spread out on the table. Roxas lifted his head and looked at Sora, tears filling his eyes and a very visible red mark on his forehead. He slowly turned his head and looked around the diner and that's when he realised how many people were looking at him as he beat his brains away. He smiled apologetically at a waitress behind the counter of the diner before looking back to his brother.

He reached for his neglected mug of coffee and took a small sip, grimacing lightly at it's bitterness before continuing to drink the dark liquid. His brother let out a sigh as he watched the blue eyed blonde and raised his arm to wave the waitress over, quietly turning to her and ordering a meal for the two brothers before turning back to Roxas.

"For now let's just eat and talk about something else, okay?" Sora ran a hand through his hair, looking at his twin.

"Sure Sora, sorry for being a downer. You're always stuck getting me through all my break ups" The blonde put his coffee mug down and looked at Sora with a soft smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"You know it's no problem, it's what I'm here for... To help out my baby brother" He gave a big smile and tilted his head to the side slightly as Roxas gave a dismissive click of his tongue.

"Older by a minute Sora and you'll never let me live it down" He chuckled lightly and moved back a little as the waitress returned with their meals, delivering to the table two equally plates equally stacked with waffles, sausages, grilled tomato, eggs and bacon. Looking up from the plates to his brother, Roxas raised a brow as Sora gave his usual full face grin, shrugged and shoved a forkful of eggs into his mouth.

"Geez Sora! You're acting like this is our last meal or something"

"Sorry but this food is just too good"

"Exactly, so savour it"

"Right! That would make more sense" Sora slowed down his eating a little as Roxas let out a laugh before each eating their meals in silence.

A few hours after the boys left the diner and their food had settled they found themselves at their local basketball court. Roxas dribbled the basketball in front of Sora, wiping sweat off his brow with the bottom of his tank top before lunging forward to get past Sora, slipping past he quickly took aim at the basket and shot before the brunette could block his throw. The ball hit the backboard before dropping into the net with a swoosh, Roxas pumped his fist in the air and gave out a small cheer.

"Another win! You wanna go again Sora?" Running a hair through his now droopy spikes he looked over to his brother who had his hands on his knees, shaking his head as he panted.

"No way Roxas! I'm sick of losing to you" He pulled the bottom of his shirt up as Roxas had done earlier and wiped the sweat off his face. "I don't know how you can always win."

"Pure skill brother, pure skill" Roxas chuckled.

"If only you were as good at dating as your were at basket ball" The elder twin stuck his tongue out at Roxas. Putting his hand over his heart the blonde let out a huff and tossed his hair back.

"It's not my fault that I'm totally undateable" He pouted.

"Well not totally"

"Thank you Sora for all the support"

"Sarcasm much? Look Roxas, why is it you keep getting dumped?"

"They all hate me?"

"No they wouldn't have gone out with you if they hated you in the first place"

"True"

"What is it they say to you?"

"Well they say that I'm clingy"

"Well then, there's your problem"

"What do you mean, Sora?"

"You're clingy, possessive. I know what you should do!" Sora shouted suddenly.

"Oh no! What ever it is I'm not going to be part of it!" The blonde shook his head and threw his now damp shirt into his gym bag, he pulled on a hoodie, leaving it unzipped, exposing his bare chest so he could cool his body temperature. As he threw his bag strap over his should he felt his brother grab a hold of his arm as they started to leave the courts and walk towards Roxas's apartment.

"Yes you are! Here's the plan..."

"So your plan is for me to sleep with a bunch of random guys?" Roxas raised a brow as he tussled his wet hair with a towel. Standing by the bathroom door as his brother shouted his response from the shower.

"Yes exactly! No wait! Kind of?"

"How exactly is that going to help?"

"Well, if you have a few one night stands, you'll be able to let go easier and you'll learn not to get clingy because they're just one night stands!"

"I suppose that's an idea that could actually work!"

"Duh! I only have great ideas!" The brunette shouted as he turned the shower off and flung the shower curtain to the side as Roxas threw him a clean towel and walked away.

"I guess" Roxas blushed softly, "Just sleep with some guys and not get attached... easy" He looked at Sora who now had the towel wrapped around his waist and saw his brother making a ridiculous face and waggling his eye brows at him and he let out a laugh. "Alright hurry up and get dressed, Riku will probably come and pick you up soon" Sora now had a big grin on his face.

"I can't believe he still comes and picks me up just to drop me of at my own apartment, I mean I only live six blocks away from here" He gave a small pout but he wasn't really complaining. Roxas chuckled as he headed over to his kitchen and grabbed everything he'd need for his small dinner as the door bell rang.

"Go on and go home, I'll text you later" Roxas shouted to his brother as a now dressed Sora ran to the door with his bag, his hair dripping with each step he took.

Once Sora left, Roxas cooked himself a small steak and steamed up some vegetables in his quiet apartment. It wasn't too long ago that there was someone else sharing this space with him, he let out a soft sigh as he walked over to his couch with his dinner and switched on the TV to a local news broadcast, not quite paying attention to it as he ate. One day he'd have someone beside him that would want to stick around not like the last 3 boyfriends he'd had over the past year that thought he was too clingy. What was clingy about wanting to eat dinner together or actually go out on dates rather than lounge around at home or just have sex the whole time? He shook his head lightly as he switched channels on the TV. Who cares? He'd just do as his brother suggested, get all this clinginess out of his system with a couple of one night stands and then someone would want him. Right? He finished his food, leaving his plate at the coffee table as he laid back and eventually fell asleep on his couch.

A/N: I ended up completely changing the setting for this chapter, I think the original setting of the brothers being in a high end diner just really didn't suit the boys and this more casual laid back style was better. Please review, I can't improve this story without knowing your input!
