One-shot. To fix writers block...Percy Meets Twilight is my number one priority, just to tell you. So, this is all that's going to be un-Percy-Meets-Twilight related for a while. Check the poll on my profile!
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight.
Edward POV
A Little Thing Called Love
The unbearable thirst had been...dampened. The need to just bite has evaporated. But, new feelings have arose, and I don't understand them one bit.
Faintly, I remember this feeling in my dim human memories. It is only faintly and hazily, because my human days were a century ago.
A change has stirred inside of me, and it confuses my mind. The feeling is...good. I simply sit and think, trying to comprehend what it is. Everybody knows that interrupting me is an unspeakable act, especially with what has been happening.
But, as I think of this feeling, my mind is filled with images and memories of that day with Bella. Her beautiful voice and her beautiful laugh...Her perfect, heart-shaped face and her luscious brunette hair framing it. The whisper of her lips brushing against each other as she speaks. Her incredibly intelligent words and actions...My thoughts are completely dominated by this simple human. She is the image of perfectness, and nothing can change my thoughts on it.
My lips moved slowly as I mouthed the words of my previous thoughts. I wondered if anybody was bothering to listen.
My door was pushed open slowly and Esme's head appeared.
She smiled at me. "It's called love, Edward. You loved Bella."
I stared at her in simple confusion. She smiled again and continued, "It's like how we--as a family--are connected, how Carlisle and I have been together all these years, how you loved your human paren--"
"Sorry for interrupting." I said politely. Esme stepped into my bedroom. "But, I don't understand how I can fall in love with a...human. I understand what love is."
She smiled. "You already loved humans, Edward. You're birth parents."
I furrowed my eyebrows, frowning. "I...Alice told me I would fall in love with her."
Esme smiled. "Never bet against Alice." With that, she slipped out of the door, and her soft foot falls were heard, moving down the staircase.
I tried the words out in my mind. I love Bella Swan. The words fit perfectly, and everything suddenly clicked into place. Love. That was what I had been missing in my seemingly-perfect-eternal-miserable-excuse-of-a-life. I loved her.
She was my entire world now. I never would have thought that a simple human could change so much for me. Now, my perspective has been changed, and living forever didn't seem so terrible anymore.
"I love you, Bella Swan." I said the words softly, smiling.
I love her. Love, love, love.
I love Isabella Swan, now and forever. My Bella.
Can that be considered fluff? Well, anyway, I hope everyone liked it! Vote on the poll on my profile, please. :D
Also. Percy Meets Twilight is my new priority. I'm so sorry...I hoped you enjoyed reading! And--I usually don't say this--PLEASE REVIEW! If you're like me (sometimes) and sometimes read a story WITHOUT leaving a review...well, I feel bad for doing that. So, make yourself feel good and review!
ALSO. Read the book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I can't believe I'm saying this, but...it's better than Twilight...I know -GASP- But...READ IT! IT'S REALLY GOOD AND SAD AND STUFF...:D
