This was, long ago and far away, intended to be a collection of one-shots from Shego's hero days with Team Go. And after all was said and done, I ended up with this. And that's it. But, hey, it's pretty good, so enjoy.
"Looks like this bird is ready for his cage," Hego chuckled, frogmarching a battered and bruised Avarious off to the authorities.
".Wait, you used that one last time," the villain whined. "And the time before that."
"You know, he's right," Shego pointed out.
"...What?" her elder brother asked in worried tones.
"The cage thing. It's really lame, and you keep using it. Like how you keep saying 'I guess crime didn't add up' when we catch the Mathster."
"Yeah, what's up with that?" Mego chimed in.
"It's my catchphrase," Hego defended, now at a full stop and still easily holding Avarious captive.
"No, 'Go Team Go' is a catchphrase. That's a quip, and you should only use it once," Shego quibbled.
"But it's a really good one!"
Avarious scoffed, Shego rolled her eyes, and Mego failed to hide a snicker.
"I could think of a better one in my sleep," the green heroine mumbled.
"Tch, me too," her younger brother added.
"Shego, what have I told you about backtalking in front of villains? We need to present a united front!'
"Oooh, sorry, Your Highness. Obviously me having an opinion that isn't yours is insubordination."
"Now, Shego, that's not what I meant..."
"Whatever," the teen snapped irritably. "When I get an arch foe, I'm not going to use the same stupid pun every time."
"Wait--" Avarious piped up. "I thought I was your arch foe!"
"You? Puh-lease. Way too small time. C'mon, you tried to turn City Hall into a giant nest. Granted, the transmuting laser was kind of cool..."
"Thank you!"
"But where's the vision? I mean, look at the bigger picture here! You could have totally--"
"SHEGO!" Hego exclaimed in a weird sort of cough/choke. "I'm sure you don't need to be giving a supervillain any more ideas!"
The green teen had the decency to look abashed, and her brother finally returned to carting away the avian ne'er-do-well.
However, she stuck her tongue out at his turned back. Mego giggled conspiratally with her.
A/N: I like Avarious. But that's mostly due to Richard Horvitz. He does the best villainous voice...
Anyway, this is intended to be, oh, a few months into Team Go's career.
