"Dad, what's that?" Chuck asked as he caught sight of the movie Bart was watching.

"Chuck, what did I tell you about coming into my bedroom without asking?" Bart asked, reaching for the remote so his ten year old son would not be exposed to the R-rated scene of a movie.

"Why aren't they wearing any clothes?" Chuck asked in reference to the two actors currently engaging in a special moment together.

"Because…they're making love" Bart said with a sigh, abandoning his search for the remote.

"Do you have to be naked to love someone?" a young Chuck asked, not once taking his eyes off the scene in front of him.

"No of course not. But you typically do when you have sex" Bart explained.

"What's sex?" he asked.

"It's a special action performed by two willing adults that care for each other" Bart said.

"But why is she crying?" Chuck asked as the female on the screen scrunched up her face and cried out the male character's name…"Is he hurting her?"

"No, Chuck, she's not in pain. She's happy. That's the sound a woman makes when she's very happy" Bart said.

"But she sounds hurt" Chuck argued.

"It's a good type of hurt. You'll understand when your older, Chuck. I promise you. That woman is happy."

Chuck nodded, although he was still struggling to understand what he was watching.

"She's happy" Chuck echoed.

"Correct" Bart said.

"And that man" Chuck commented "Is he the one making her feel happy?"

"Yes, precisely" Bart told him, pleased that this talk with going relatively well with the help of a visual aid. He watched Chuck's face harden in concentration.

"What's on your mind son?"

"Was my mother ever that happy?" he asked.

Bart grimaced at the mention of his deceased wife.

"I would like to think so, yes. Your mother and I were very much in love, Charles."

Chuck nodded, but from the look on his face Bart knew he had more to say.

"I think…I think I would like to make my friend Blair feel that happy someday" he confessed.

"Blair Waldorf?" Bart asked.

Chuck nodded.

"She's pretty, like that woman" Chuck motioned to the screen "But she's sad a lot and it makes me sad. I want to make her happy."

Chuck turned to his father.

"Do you think she'd let me?" he asked.

"It's possible son. But remember, not until your older" Bart told him in a stern tone.

Chuck thought about this for a moment.

"How much older?"

"Much" he said curtly "Now I think it's time for bed, Charles."

"Okay Father" Chuck said as he made his way to the door.

Bart cleared his throat.

"That was a good talk we had, son" Bart told him.

"It was?" Chuck asked.

"Yes, now go to sleep."

"Goodnight father" Chuck said.

"Goodnight."
