Chapter 6: Let's make a plan
Um...hi everyone, I terribly apologize for the long wait, its ok if you're all fed up with me. Please forgive me!
(Raven's P.O.V)
"Alexander" I breathed "Jagger" I muttered swiveling my head to face my 'mate' "what is going on?"
Alexander takes a shuddering breath, and stares at me with great pity "I'm so sorry Raven, I was hoping if you weren't involved then you wouldn't be put in danger. But SOMEONE apparently fixed that!" he scowled at Jagger, who of which was not impressed.
"Don't you dare heap all the blame on me Sterling, you should have told her you were hiding. Do you honestly believe Chrishunds wouldn't find her and use her to lure you out?" The white n' red haired vampire grabbed the front of Alexander's shirt roughly "Think man! Chrishunds is a psychotic zealot, human or vampire he would've hurt her to get to us!"
"HEY!" I screamed, snapping their attention to me "if we're all in as much trouble as you say, then we need to get out of here like NOW!" my outburst seemed to get their attention.
"Y-yeah" Jagger growled, releasing Alexander.
Alexander peered around nervously licking his pale lips "I managed to throw him off the trail for a while, it will give us time to make a plan of escape" I breathed a sigh of relief, I knew I could rely on vampiric sweety. But the real question was, could I rely on Jagger? Well, there was nothing like a vampire hunter to test our supposed firey bonds of love right?
"Let's go to the basement, we can think of what to do there" Jagger suggested reaching for me and pinning me to his side in a show of possession. Honestly this whole animal fighting over the female instincts were getting ridiculous; I rolled my eyes and pushed him away.
"Right whatever you say Jagger" Alexander glared.
(End Raven's P.O.V)
If the unexpected reunion between her boyfriend and her 'mate' wasn't enough; the cramped ride in the elevator was a whole other breed of awkward. Raven stood right between the snowy top Jagger, and the black looker Alexander, and even though they agreed to hold off on their issues for the moment. That did not stop either male vampire from sending the other dirty looks. And frankly it was starting to drive Raven crazy; was Jagger seriously that angry about Alexander not marrying and changing his sister? She'd never met the girl but Raven supposed she could understand; Alexander was strong, soft, and creative. Just watching him paint made her forget everything wrong with her life, and feel at piece. And maybe with some luck she could convince Jagger to see what she see's in Alexander. But that was a big maybe.
The elevator dinged arriving at the basement level; Alexander's eyes darted about assessing the room before stepping out. Nightmare mewed from a dark corner and came to inspect the newcomer rubbing her furry body against his ankles. This elicited a fleeting smile from his pale lips.
"Hmp, don't why that nasty thing likes you" Jagger huffed "don't why Raven likes the little beast either".
"You just have to be nice Jagger" Raven cooed scooping her kitten up. Nightmare purred happily and yawned, revealing tiny sharp teeth.
"I don't do nice" the white n red haired vampire growled sitting himself on the sofa.
"That much is obvious" Alexander snarked.
"Really~? Because I thought it was very sweet of you to get me a little kitty to make me happy" the beautiful goth girl grinned insistently.
Alexander blinked in surprise while Jagger blushed and turned his gaze to stare at the closest wall "I was hoping you didn't like cats...So any bright ideas Sterling? That hunter could be upstairs waiting for us right now".
Alexander sent him a withering glare and began to think "To be perfectly honest, I have not seen Chrishunds yet. So far I have only delt with some rookies who wanted to play 'Buffy the vampire slayer', they were pretty easy to avoid".
"So Chrishunds isn't here then, Whats the big deal? We can handle a bunch of dumb ass college kids easily" Jagger said.
"No Jagger!" Alexander snapped "I saw the insignia patches on their clothes, the Broken Fang Crest is his calling card, the bastard is probably using the rookies to lure us out in the open. If they die, get bitten or simply disappear that's all the proof he needs to come seek us out himself! You'll wake up with a stake protruding from your chest and Raven too!"
Raven gasped and held Nightmare closer to her chest "H-he would sacrifice people like that just to find a vampire?"
Jagger and Alexander winced at the fledglings distress "I am afraid so...that's one reasons other hunters don't work with him; his methods are too tactless, even for their sort" said Jagger.
"I already got Jameson putting some supplies together, if we're fast enough we may be able to avoid him without further incident".
"I better text Romeo then-Raven pack your things babe we need to scram!" Jagger grunted hastily texting the bartender upstairs.
"A-alright then" the dark haired girl said. As she went about her task of picking out necessities, a lead weight settled in Raven's gut. She was just barely turned and already vampire hunters were gunning for her. It was like the cliche vampire movies she used to watch at home. Hopefully it won't end just as tragically.
