The Winchester brothers sat side-by-side on the hood of the Impala staring at the sky, thinking of everything and nothing at the same time. Dense, angry-looking cloud cover met their dual gazes.

"Looks like it might storm," Dean offered.

Sam agreed. "Wish it would. Would feel good 'bout now."

As if on cue, a brilliant streak of lightning cleaved the night sky. A gust of wind rattled the verdant new leaves in nearby trees. They silently counted the seconds, waiting for the inevitable rumble of thunder.

"Gonna be on top of us soon, should we head inside?" mused Sam.

"Nah."
