"Hello, Sam."

Sam turned to look at Bill, "What do you want, Bill?"

"You seem upset."

"Well, its late, I was on my feet all day, I'm tired."

"You are upset that Sookie and I are no longer together."

Sam sighed, rubbing his head, "Why would I care? Better for her, being away from you dead things."

"Because now I come around less," Bill stalked closer, "And you see me less, and that bothers you. And the fact that you miss me is what is upsetting you. You feel not yourself. You feel wrong."

For a moment, Sam couldn't speak, and then he glared at Bill and headed for his trailer, "Bull shit, Vamp. Go home."

Bill followed, "Would you like me to come in?"

Sam stopped, "Why the hell would I give you a free pass to come into my place whenever you wanted?"

"You may rescind it at any time."

Sam went inside, "Come in. For a minute. Then you gotta go." Bill glided in, shutting the door.

Sam went to the fridge, grabbing a water, "Why did Sookie and you break up, anyhow?"

Bill sat down on the couch, "She fell in love with someone else. I let her go. Love cannot be changed."

"Don't you love her?" Sam leaned against the counter.

"I loved being with her. But I had not fallen in love, yet."

"Huh," Sam turned and headed for the bedroom, "I gotta get some sleep."

Bill followed, "May we lay together?"

Sam murmured, "I sleep naked."

Bill smiled, "I see no problem in that."

Sam started undressing, "Bill, I ain't interested in being a Fangbanger or a Vampfucker."

Bill chuckled, "I know. But do you consider Sookie such for sleeping with and dating me?"

Sam shook his head, "No."

"You should be more open, Sam. After all, I bear no anger for your kind. I respect you. And you have the most beautiful ass I have ever seen."

Sam blushed a little, laying down, "Are you keepin' your clothes on?"

Bill shook his head and undressed slowly so Sam could watch, climbing into the bed, "I will leave before sunrise."

Sam watched him quietly, "What if I did like you?"

"Then I would date you and make love to you fiercely every night."

Sam closed his eyes, "Good to know." He fell asleep quickly, and Bill remained there, stroking his hair and watching him sleep.

The next evening, Sam was anxious and jumpy. Every time the door opened he turned, eyes wide and looked at the customer. But it was always a stranger or a normal drinker. It wasn't Bill.

At closing, everyone left, and Sam headed for his trailer.

"Evening, lover," Bill whispered softly from the darkness.

Sam looked around, "You didn't come in."

"It is Sookie's work place. I shall not make things worse by lingering around her."

Sam nodded, "You comin' in?"

"Not tonight."

Sam sighed and looked away, "Okay."

"I cannot come in again and lay beside you and not have you to myself, not be in you and take from you. I desire you too much."

Sam's eyes widened, "You're serious? You'll come in if I'll let you fuck me?"

"I do not fuck, generally speaking. It is not very gentle, nor romantic. An especially loveless act."

"Come in." Sam went to his bedroom and sat. Bill followed, and laid down, pulling Sam on top of him.

"No biting, not yet," Sam moaned, "Just sex."

"Of course," Bill obliged, "I will come every night for you."

Sam nodded, "That... doesn't upset me."

Bill grinned, "I know."
