Chapter 5: On Yet Another Day

The good professor was just sitting down to breakfast on yet another ordinary day in his life, waiting for Odette to come rushing into the room requesting yet another change to make her robotic body even more like her friends'. It came as no surprise when she came crashing into the breakfast table, overturning his plate of food, but thankfully not his morning cup of coffee – he had saved that by quickly picking it off the table before the inevitable crash – and pleaded for the newest change.

"Doctor, doctor! I want to go to college!" she cried, eyes filled with a sparkle at the idea of spending more time with her friends. Her face turned downcast in a moment though as she added sorrowfully, "But Asou says that I can't because I didn't graduate from high school!"

The doctor sighed and promised Odette that he would take care of everything. Odette gave him an overwhelmingly tight hug before running off again, this time in glee. The doctor groaned at the amount of paperwork he would have to fill, people he would have to give 'donations' to for Odette to be allowed near another school campus. This would be a headache and a half, he took a drink of his coffee and relaxed a bit, thankfully his coffee had come out unscathed this time.
