Harry tapped his fingers against his jaw, chin resting in his hand. Ginny offered him a bowl of corn flakes, which Harry used his free hand to dip into, his eyes never leaving the scene in front of him.
Hermione's bushy brown hair seemed to develop a life of its own, shaking violently as she threw her whole body into the heated debate she and Ron were currently having. Ron himself had turned a violent shade of purple, although his thin lips paled to a near white as he hurled insults back.
"Somebody, do something," Mrs. Weasley pleaded, watching as a fork sailed across the table, bits of sausage still attached to the end, narrowly missing Ron's head.
Harry cast an eye around the table, waiting for someone to acquiesce to her desperate request. As the volume grew exponentially and a bit of toast caught itself in Hermione's flyaway hair, Harry finally accepted that nobody else was interested in interrupting the latest morning drama.
With a sigh he pushed himself to his feet, invisible to all save one of the motley crowd sitting around the table. Catching the only pair of eyes not on his squawking friends, he winked and made his way slowly around the table.
Grey eyes watched as he drew closer, closer, until Harry was standing at the corner of the table, pulling him to his feet.
With an almost feral grin, Harry leaned forward and pressed his lips firmly against Draco Malfoy's soft mouth, wrapping his arms around the other man's waist as pale fingers weaved their way into his dark hair.
Somewhere in the background, Ron and Hermione fell silent.
