It had been a long day at work, and Obito was tired. Despite the fact that it was his birthday, he still had mountains of paperwork to file. Fugaku was not the kind of man to be lenient just because a person turned a year older. But Obito had expected more from his coworkers, who were generally nice people. All he got were a few words and "See you tonight."

"Kakashi, are you home?" he yelled, walking into the kitchen. "I have to be at my parents' in a few hours."

"Reading." Obito sighed as her heard his partner's voice from the bedroom. If Kakashi was reading, he wouldn't want to be disturbed. Still, he figured that since it was his birthday, he deserved a little indulgence. Pouring himself some water, he headed to the bedroom.

"You know, it is my birth—oh wow," Obito said, staring at Kakashi and nearly dropping his glass. "What is. . . what are you doing?"

Putting down his book, Kakashi looked at Obito, trying to put a smile on his face. It was hard, Kakashi was used to being dignified and mysterious. But there was nothing dignified and mysterious in lying on a bed with a cake on his stomach.

"Happy Birthday," Kakashi said. "If you tell anyone about this, I will kill you. And them."

Obito laughed, and crawled into bed, kissing Kakashi's cheek. "What, and have everyone imagining you like this? Oh no. Bad enough I have to compete with some of my own cousins."

Kakashi shook his head, and raised a finger covered in icing to Obito's lips. "There's no competition," he said softly. Obito smiled, and gently sucked the icing off of Kakashi's finger.

"You taste sweet," Obito said, licking his lips. "Do you taste sweet everywhere?"

"Only one way to find out." Kakashi pulled Obito towards him, his lips warm and sweet against his as they kissed. He felt Obito's fingers rub circles around his nipples and moaned into the kiss, arching into the touch.

"Maybe we should get rid of the cake," Obito whispered against Kakashi's lips. Kakashi nodded.

"Plate's on the floor."

Three hours later, Obito jumped out of the shower, grinning. He was always late for things, but this time, he had a great reason.
