How Unfortunate

He cantered over to her. 'Rumors has it that he's asking her out,' just happens to cross my mind. He whispered something into her ear and she blushed. A pang hurled in my chest. I crouched carefully behind the brick wall, it seemed he planned it out. The lavenders, the emerald-green park, the bright sunny day. Oh!! I wish I was her!! It seemed to suddenly be my dream wedding day, and when they hugged each other, I nearly fainted.

The next day at school, I congratulated her and became her friend. A bad choice, I went code red every time he and she held hands or when they would secretly smile genuine smiles to each other. Often at home after finishing homework and helping around the house, I would daydream about being with him. Of course, to no use, he already had a girlfriend and remained faithful, much to my cheeriness.

Years after years, I couldn't get up enough to tell him that I liked him and to my horror I realized that when we graduated college. Three month passed by when I finally decided to visit him and caught myself eavesdropping by the door. "Will you marry me?" a low, manly voice sounded. "Yes!!" squeaked the other. This time I did faint.

Their wedding came and I ended up being the bridesmaid. The wedding was at the emerald-green park with the ever sweet scented lavenders and the shining sun. When everyone came down the aisle, including me, they began the long speech of unity and the vows. When it came to "Is there anyone who wishes to object this marriage?" I rose my hand and spoke up, an act I practiced since I first met him. "Yes, I do and I do not regret this, but I really, really like you." They all laughed heartily, as if it was a joke and when they kissed each other my knees buckled. Soon after they had a baby and I decided to step down and declare my undying love. They chuckled and asked that if I wanted that badly to be the godmother then I should of asked.

So here I am, the godmother of their adorable, cute child, the best friend of his wife, the supporter of their every choice, the planner, the merry maker, and so on, yet I still don't have what I wanted??

"How unfortunate, my dear," my mother chuckled out.
