(A/N: I found this buried in my notebook from a long time ago…I don't know why I never posted it, I think it's pretty good. Enjoy!)
Overlooked
Leah Clearwater was one of those people who was impossible to ignore.
Some people loved her, some people hated her, some were somewhere in the middle, but they could all agree on one thing.
You couldn't ignore her.
When she walked into a room, people turned to look at her. When she left a room, people turned to watch her go.
Even when she was trying to be invisible, she still never went unnoticed by anyone.
Sam first noticed Leah when she was trying to be hidden. It was her first day of high school, and even though she was nervous, Sam still saw her and thought she stood out.
When she went to visit Sam and Emily, Sam still noticed her, just in a different way. Her presence was just impossible to overlook.
Leah would try to blend into the background, talking as little as possible, but Sam could still see her, as if she were painted neon green.
Everyone could agree on one thing, no matter what they thought of Leah.
She was impossible to ignore.
