Hugs (Not Drugs) (Sorry people. couldn't help myself.)

Blaise woke quickly and stilled, silently trying to figure out what had woken him. He was a notoriously light sleeper, but there was almost always a reason he woke- he glanced at the clock- at two in the morning. He blinked and realized he could see. Right, light was penetrating his curtains. He groaned silently and sat up, pushing his curtains back.

He stood slowly and walked over to Draco's bed. He yanked the curtains back and stared down at Draco's shaking form. His knees were pulled up and his head was buried against his knees. Now that the curtains were pulled back, the silencing spell was broken and Blaise could hear the soft sobbing coming from Draco. The blond still hadn't noticed Blaise's presence.

Blaise sighed softly and settled onto the bed, pulling the curtains closed behind him, restoring the silencing spell.

Draco's head shot around to stare at him. His face was blotchy and tear streaked and his hair was more mussed than Blaise had ever seen it.

"Hey," he said softly.

Draco turned around. Blaise assumed he was glowering at nothing.

"What's the matter?"

Draco didn't say anything.

Blaise leaned forward and rested his head on Draco's shoulder. "Did your hair gel blow up or something?"

Draco snorted and turned to smack the back of Blaise's head.

Blaise let him, his goal achieved. Draco wasn't crying anymore. "Seriously," he said. "Did something happen?"

Draco sighed. "Not really, I'm just… I'm just stressed out, I guess."

Blaise caught his chin and turned his friend's face towards him. Indeed, he had circles under his red rimmed eyes and he was looking even thinner than usual. "Poor Draco," he said sympathetically. "Want a hug?"

There was a moment of hesitation and then the blond nodded.

Blaise smiled and wrapped his arms around Draco's torso, bringing him close. Draco curled against his chest and rested his head on the taller boy's shoulder. They stayed like that for the rest of the night.

A/N Well, maybe you don't have to squint to see the slash, but it could very well be friendship, right? My next story will be the sequel to Home Alone.
