Author's Note: Hey! So I know I'm have multiple stories in progress that I should be working on, but I glanced at a prompt site and found this and an idea hit me like a truck. Basically here's the finished product. I hope you guys like it.
Pairing: Phil Brooks (CM PUNK)/Kelly Kelly
Prompt: It was barely visible.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, but a bunch of merchandise and my ideas.

It was barely visible, but there it was.
It was a flittering of fear in the young blonde's eyes and watching from his seat on a bin of electrical equipment, Phil couldn't help, but smile.
It was her first night; why wouldn't she be nervous?
Phil still remembered his debut match on television like it was yesterday. All the emotions that had come with it had been horrid:
butterflies in the stomach
nausea
sweaty palms
inability to sit still
lump in the throat
trembling limbs
wanting to laugh -- or cry
All the signs were clear on Kelly's face, but the moment her generic Diva's music hit, a smile brighter than the sun lit up her face and the fear was gone.
But Phil still remembered it.
It made him curious.

It was barely visible, but there it was.
It was a hard shiner concealed by so much cover-up and foundation that the usual purple hue of a bruise had become almost orange on her porcelain face.
Everyone saw it, but not a thing was said; how come no one stepped up?
Phil couldn't answer that question though, for he was just as guilty. Like everyone else he kept his mouth shut and watched the emotion that passed her face as Mike appeared:
fear
sadness
compassion
anger
hopelessness
nervousness
hurt -- plain and simple
All the signs were clear on Kelly's face, but the moment anyone asked, she would roll her eyes and giggle, laughing about how she stupidly tripped in her new heels and the pain was gone.
But Phil still remembered it.
It made him worried.

It was barely visible, but there it was.
It was a small turn at the corners of her glossed lips, which was possibly the remnants of her beautiful grin, but it paled highly in comparison.
Kelly hadn't smiled in quite some time; had she forgotten how?
Phil had never been a man of religion, but he was now praying that that wasn't true. He remembered her making his stomach flip-flop the first time they'd met with that grin and there'd been so many times after that he'd purposely do something just to see it:
tell a joke
tease
smile
give a gift
compliment her
take her bags
listen to her -- that's all it took
All the signs were clear on Kelly's face, but the moment her cell buzzed with a text, her lips straightened stiff, and the smile was gone.
But Phil still remembered it.
It made him fall.

Author's Note: Okay, it's my first one-shot, so be gentle, but any constructive criticism would be appreciated.
I also tried to write each paragraph following the same pattern, did that work at all?
Reviews would be amazing! Thanks.
