Lol, I always seem to write more when the movie is back on netflix...

!-!-!

Meadow closed the door behind Caleb who left without another word. She turned her back to the door and leant against it. She closed her eyes as she sighed. American schools were exhausting…

Caleb stopped halfway down the hallway as he was not sure why he said that, even if it was the truth. It was obvious to anyone who saw them, would know that Meadow preferred a ten foot pole between the two of them. She seemed to prefer anyone's company, even Reid's over his… But… He had been enraptured by her playing, drawn to it in a way he couldn't explicably explain.

"Always"

And then something happened that moment and she had let her walls down so he saw her look at him with the same amount of loneliness and heartbreak that he was not stranger of. Looking in hindsight Caleb realized that it was partially his fault that Sarah now wanted nothing to do with Meadow. He was not hiding his magnetism towards her very well at all.

Giving up on her music sheet after not being able to write a single note down, Meadow gave up. Just as she was about to climb under covers, her roommate came walking in.

Kira paused as she saw Meadow. "Um are you okay? Are you still jet lagged?" She said as concerned as she could get.

"I'm quite alright, thank you for asking Kira. Just some unexpected drama going on."

A small smirk appeared on Kira's face. "Sarah, I'm guessing?"

Meadow grimaced, she did not particularly want to talk about it but this seemed to be a rare bonding moment for the two. "Possibly among other things. Meadow tried to say diplomatically as her roommate settled on her side of the dorm. Kira took a seat on her bed and put a pillow behind her back to get more comfortable.

"And the other thing is Caleb Danver's attraction to you?" Kira said outright smug now.

Meadow looked up at her confused. "I'm sorry?"

"And the fact you two fit together really well." Kira continued, ignoring Meadow's obliviousness.

"I, I'm not quite sure what you are talking about."

"Look, you can pretend to be blind and all but its pretty obvious to all of us. One, you literally fit right under Caleb, he could tuck you under his chin." Kira rolled her eyes at the naseuating thought. Half the time he looks like he wants to kiss you and kill any guy who even looks at you." She continued. "You and Sarah are the only ones to really talk back at Calen, well except the boys but they're basically brothers. But Sarah's in awe of him, she looks at him like a piece of art work… you aren't. You and him stand on even ground. He's always been like a prince, as long as I've ever known him and you're about the closest to royalty our school's ever had. And the both of you are Harvard legacies. Sarah is intimidated by you because you fit perfectly into Caleb Danver's world and she doesn't." Kira finished.

"Kira, I don't want Caleb Danvers. I did not come to the U.S. for someone like Caleb Danvers. I don't want Sarah to be intimidated because I have a title and some land. She belongs in his world more so than I. He chose her, that's more than enough proof."

Kira shrugged. "She's here on a scholarship and she manages to snag the wealthiest and likely to succeed guy at our school within the first week of school. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I'm going to call it a duck."

Meadow sighed. It seemed that Kira was no more a fan of Sarah, than Sarah was of Meadow.

"Anyway, I'm going away for the weekend. Tell me the details when I come back if Caleb finally stops trying to restrain himself and pushes you against a wall to kiss you. Toodles." She said picking up her Louis Vuitton duffle.

Meadow's jaw dropped at Kira's comment but she wasn't able to respond before Kira was gone.

Meadow barely had time to process her longest conversation with her roommate yet when there was a knock. Meadow looked down at her nightgown and groaned. Grabbing her wool cape, she draped it over her shoulders before answering the door. To her surprise it was Caleb again.

"Caleb, what? You should not be here right now. Go talk to your girlfriend." Meadow said. Ignoring her, he strode into the room. He closed the door behind her, trapping her between him and the door.

"Caleb?" Meadow said his name, really confused now and quite alarmed after her conversation with Kira.

Caleb said nothing, just stared at her. She felt like as if he was staring into the depths of her soul… "Caleb what is going on?"

Instead of answering her, he leaned down and lightly cupped her face.

"Ca" Meadow tried to say his name but he shut her up by kissing her against the door.

!-!-!

Caleb Danver's shot out of bed as he woke up from a very vivid and detailed dream of him kissing Meadow. He touched his lips that felt rather warm to the touch and maybe even a little bit bruised. That was one realistic as hell dream…

He checked his phone to see what time it was and saw that he had five missed calls from Sarah and one from Tyler. He hesitated over the ones from Sarah but he found he didn't have the energy to talk to Sarah right now.

"Hey Ty."

"Hey, I don't know if you got our message but I'm driving the girls into Boston with Reid tomorrow. If you and Pogue want to join us with Sarah and Kate tomorrow feel free but if you two can't go, don't worry. Reid and Lecia will be there for me."

"Oh, okay. I'm, I'm sorry Tyler. I'll be there. No matter what is going on with Sarah and I, I would never let that get in the way of being there for you three."

"We know, but Caleb, you don't have to burden yourself with taking care of us either. You sometimes need to live your own life too and stop worrying about ours. If you need to take some time to yourself, do it."

"When did you grow up so much Baby Boy?" Caleb said fondly to the youngest.

!-!-!

Meadow woke up to the sound of knocking on her door. Feeling déjà vu, Meadow tried to find her cape only to see that it was on the floor near the door…

"Meadow? Its Lecia and Paige."

"Coming!" Meadow said picking up her cape and opening the door.

"Hey," Lecia said softly when the door opened to reveal the raven haired girl.

"Hi. You guys look cute and bundled up."

"Well we're headed to Boston soon. Reid and Tyler are getting us breakfast and gas for the car to make the trip."

"That sounds nice."

"Yes, but why aren't you dressed?" Paige asked eyeing Meadow's nightgown.

"Dressed?" Meadow echoed.

"Didn't Caleb tell you that we still want you there?" Lecia asked.

Meadow's heart started to thump a little bit faster at the utterance of the name. "Um," She licked her lips nervously. "Yeah…"

"Then come on! Want to get lunch in Harvard Square!" Paige ushered Lecia in so they could close the door behind them.

"I don't know…"

"Yes, you do. You are coming with us. We are not accepting a no from you." Paige said heading towards the closet. "Oh my god, I want your closet." She said opening it and discovering that it rivaled Lecia's closet if not even better as it seemed that there were some beautiful antique styled dresses.

"Please Meadow. You must come with us, its not like you've ever been to Boston other than the airport!" Lecia added.

"I don't,"

"Yeah and we've heard no word from Pogue or Caleb about what they are doing about Kate and Sarah so I need someone to buffer between me and Reid. I can't believe the man's never bought me dinner and I've already met his junior." Paige muttered causing Lecia and Meadow to both laugh softly.

"Yes, you both will have to tell me and Tyler that whole story in the car." Lecia said already making Meadow's bed.

Meadow felt quite stuck between a rock and a hard place as the Americans said. She touched her lip before looking at the two girls who were looking expectantly back at her. "Okay." She said softly.

!-!-!

"I like the boots," Reid yelled when he saw the three girls walking down.

Tyler the ever practical slightly frowned. "Are you going to be okay walking in them through the city?" He asked looking at the heeled thigh high boots.

"Yes, I will be fine. Plus I was promised that it was too cold and windy now to be walking around a lot in Boston."

"Yes, that promise was from me. If we need to, we're ditching you all and getting a nice cup of hot chocolate at a cute café and flirting with some college boys if we see them." Paige said as she hated the cold and was not used to it for that matter. Snow was different, snow was pretty. But plain cold and blistery winds were a no from her.

"What college boys?" Reid asked loudly.

"There's over a quarter of a million college students in Boston, I'm sure there's gotta be some interesting ones." Paige ignored him and latched her arm with Meadow instead.

Meadow laughed as she walked with Paige.

"Over my dead body." Reid muttered under his breath as the girls passed him to get into the car as Paige threw him Meadow's small overnight bag.

"Thanks honey," Lecia said, standing on her tip toes to give him a small kiss on the lips when Tyler handed her a coconut mocha latte. Tyler looked down at her, resisting the urge to pick her up and kiss her more thoroughly.

!-!-!

Caleb got dressed and looked at his phone. Sarah was not picking up his phone calls now which meant she was really pissed at him. He should've called her last night but he just didn't have the heart to. Arguing was not his favorite thing to do. He did enough of it with Reid already. And also he didn't want to argue about Meadow. He could barely figure out his own feeling for her that trying to explain it to Sarah was only going to cause more issues.

"Mom," Caleb called out.

"In the kitchen!" Evelyn Danvers yelled back.

"Uh Mother what are you doing?"

"I'm baking a pie? What does it look like?"

"But you don't bake pies." Caleb said feeling like he was in the twilight zone.

"Well the Simms are hosting Thanksgiving this year and I want to try to make a pie to bring to the dinner." Evelyn explained to her son.

"Oh," Caleb said in surprise. "You're going this year?" He asked in hesitation.

"Yes." Evelyn Danvers answered.

Caleb cracked a smile for the first time that week. "I'm glad."

"Me too…"

"Are you going to be okay for the weekend, I won't be far, just in Boston for Tyler's birthday."

"Yes, yes, I'll be fine. Go on, I remember what it was like, my trips to Boston with friends." She smiled fondly.

Caleb grabbed his eyes from the foyer and started out. He nodded at Gromlun who was working on the yard even in the cold of winter.

"Going to Boston Gromlun!"

The older man looked at him and waved him off.

Caleb shook his head at the old caretaker as he got into his car. After getting into his car Caleb turned on music only to find that none of it was to his liking. As he got on the highway he used his auxiliary to play a video he had discovered last night when he was unable to sleep. It was a video of Meadow Kendregan when she was barely nine years old at a piano recital playing Clair de Lune by Debussy. The pink ribbons in her hair flowed around her as she swayed with the music, letting it take her away. Caleb gunned the gas as the music wafted through his car.
