Well, the idea popped into my head the first time I watched Turn 02, and then again when I was rewatching it, so I figured that meant I should write the thing. Just a very short humorous drabble, because CG seriously needs more light-hearted fics.

Also, just in case THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR TURN 02 OF R2, IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODE DO NOT READ, UNLESS YOU HAPPEN TO LIKE SPOILERS FOR SOME SICK REASON.

Kururugi Suzaku was walking down the halls of the Aries Villa, trying very hard to not think about Lelouch while simultaneously trying to find the damned meeting room when he happened to see His Imperial Highness, Charles zi Britannia. And, apart from shuddering at the hair-what was the man thinking?- he was… still dismayed to see him. Because it inevitably reminded Suzaku of the last time he'd seen the man which brought him back to thinking about Lelouch, which he shouldn't.

He dropped to one knee in a bow, "Your Majesty."

Charles acknowledged him with a slight nod, "Knight of Seven."

Charles stopped walking, Suzaku looked up hesitantly.

"You may stand, Kururugi."

He stood, "Does-does your majesty have something he requires of me?"

"You were very close to my son, were you not?"

"He… he was my first and best friend."

This answer did not seem to please the emperor overmuch. He made a noise of assent and kept walking, stopping short after a few paces, "I have to view peoples' memories in order to rewrite them."

That's nice, why was he-oh. Oh. Well, that explained the earlier question. "Your Majesty, I-"

"There are several things as a man that I never wished to see anyone, especially my own children, doing. Between that boy's head and the time I walked into Schneizel's room without knocking during one of his and Kanon's "private consultations" I have now seen them all. And a few more I didn't manage to think of."

"Your Majesty, I-"

"That will be all, Knight of Seven."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Having had one of his day's objectives effectively ruined, Suzaku resolved to preserve the second and find the meeting room, while simultaneously trying very hard to stop blushing quite so furiously.
