Griffin's POV

"I'll be gone for the rest of the day," David called over his shoulder as he grabbed some of his belongings and shoved it down into a small bag.

"Don't do anything foolish, Griffin." He then added.

Letting out a low grunt, I knew the other Jumper eyed me carefully and then shrugged, before I felt the sudden gush of wind and I knew David had Jumped back to Millie's apartment.

In my hands was the familiar controller and on the TV screen was a scene of one of my favorite games, however my fingers weren't moving and neither did I really see what happened.

"You lose." An electronic voice said not much later. I could care less at the moment.

In the pit of my stomach laid a tight knot and a lump had formed into my throat, making it hard to swallow. And the saddest part of it all was that I knew the reason for these unfamiliar feelings. They seemed alien to me, but happened the more often these days.

Jealousy. Envy.

I stared at the controller in my hand, before I angrily threw it across the room, almost breaking the large plasma-screen in front of me.

While I usually was not this lacks, I Jumped over to the refrigerator and grabbed all that looked delicious. Fortunately David had stocked it well recently.

Jumping back, I landed upon the couch and took a bite of a cold chicken wing. It tasted much better hot, but I couldn't bring myself to heath it up. A large gulp of beer followed quickly. While I wasn't feeling hungry at all, I continued to munch on the food like I was starving.

Damn David! I thought to myself as I let my mind once more wander towards him and his girlfriend. She didn't love him. She didn't even know him the way I did! They were only together because she had the poor Jumper completely wrapped around her finger. He was a handy tool for her and she was willing to fight for it.

Foolish girl.

A smirk widened on my face as an idea suddenly hit me. Not taking any time to think more about it, I dropped the food and Jumped over to the apartment that belonged to Millie.

I thanked all the Gods I knew that David and Millie weren't doing things, something I rather hadn't seen.

"What-" The two brunettes said in canon, but the taller one was cut off as I quickly captured his lips with my own. I heard Millie gasp and felt David stiffen, only to return the kiss much deeper a moment later.

Foolish girl, competing against me. You never had a chance to begin with. I thought before I broke the kiss. A smirk appeared one more on my lips as I Jumped the two of us back to the lair to continue our activities in private, leaving Millie behind.

Sweet revenge never tasted this good.
