AN: Another repost of an old fluffy one-shot I deleted awhile back. This is set to Royal Rumble 2008.

Barreling down the hall and springing into his arms, Maria was lifted off of her feet. Twirling his girlfriend around, a smiled stretched across John Cena's face as she joyfully showered his face in kisses. "I've missed you."

Setting her back on the ground, he settled his hands on her waist. "Excuse me, do I know you?" he joked with a chuckle.

It had been only a mere three months since he tore his pectoral muscle and the two were separated, but they each had counted down the days that he would return. Maria was by his side on the day of his surgery in Alabama, in which he appreciated her concern and support. However, due to time restraints and numerous other obligations, she was not able to see him throughout the time of his rehabilitation.

Pushing herself up on her tip-toes, she brought her arms around his neck and sealed a kiss to his lips. "I hope so since you look a lot like my boyfriend."

Looking into her shimmering green eyes, John threaded his fingers through her reddish-brown hair. It had seemed like a lifetime since he last smelled the scent of her perfume or felt the gentle touch of her hands. "Well, whoever he is...I'm sure that he's missed you too."

Momentarily resting her head against his chest, she inhaled a sense of comfort from being back in his embrace. Tilting her head up to look at him, she saw a grin imprinted on his face which made her heart soar with happiness. However, she suddenly shoved him aside and John received a hard slap to the chest which left him in complete confusion. "Why didn't you tell me that you were coming back?!"

"I wanted to surprise you," he told her, leaning in close and tracing the shape of her waist. When Maria jokingly pouted before crossing her arms, he planted a loving kiss on her forehead. "Are you mad?"

Sighing, she hated herself for not being able to fake anger towards him. Her heart melted whenever she looked into his blue eyes or saw the dimples from his smile. "No, I could never be mad. I love you too much."

"Good, because we need to make up for lost time," John winked as he swept her off her feet and into his arms.
