Just for the record, I don't own anyone from Yu-Gi-Oh! or Death Note. In fact, I haven't seen much of Death Note as of yet, this idea just popped into my head today while I was in World Lit I.

Seto Kaiba was not one to believe in superstitions. Nor was he one to play childish games, though there seemed to be an exception when cards were involved/ He was always the rational, intelligent one, Yugi and his friends be damned.

He damn well wasn't one to be so stupid to write someone's name in a black notebook because he wanted to kill them. Seto Kaiba had the resources to do that without indulging in such a childish whim.

He had suffered through the mass hallucination that was the 'Memory World' and has seen the duel of Yugi vs. Dark Yugi. But this was even more absurd than that.

"Nii-sama?" Seto shoved the notebook in the top drawer of his desk as Mokuba entered his office. "It's time to go, Nii-sama!"

Seto Kaiba stood up. There was no more time for childish indulgences. His little brother needed him, and that was all he needed in his life. He turned off the lights and shut the door, following after Mokuba.

In the shadows of the now dark office, a lone figure watched. Looking at the desk, the figure smirked, reaching over and picking up the apple left there before taking a large bite, smirk ever present.
