Bonjour! It's me, ALYSSA! This story is for Pyrolyn-776's Lyric Challenge and I hope you enjoy it!

55. "It's almost like you had it planned. It's like you smiled and took my hand and said, 'Hey, I'm about to screw you over, big time."

She sighed, watching him and his girlfriend snuggle on the bench in Central Park, barely ten feet away from her. They didn't see her, hiding behind the plants. She clutched her cup of Starbucks in her hand, wanting to sip it, but not daring to take her eyes away from the boy.

Her boy.

The one she loved beyond measure.

…Everyone said they weren't meant to be, that they were either too similar, or different, which didn't make sense to her.

He and her…

They were similar. Hard, and tough on the outside, sarcastic, mean. And she…she understood him. But he'd never had the chance to understand her...

So close.

So close they'd come to being together! Barely an inch…

And at the same time, so far.

She was different than him. She was violent at times, easily over powering other people. She didn't want to be though…he was calm, but angry on the inside. It was so plain to her to how much he really suffered at times, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. While she...she let her feelings pour out.

As she watched him run his fingers through his girlfriend's hair, she knew one thing.

She'd be as docile as a lamb for him.

He wrapped his arms around the girl's back. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. Suddenly, she glanced at her watch and pulled away, grabbing her hat to put on her precious little head so the chilly winter wouldn't kill her remaining brain cells.

The hidden girl sneered angrily.

The boy kissed his girlfriend's head and she turned away, leaving him alone in Central Park.

The other girl, the watcher, the spier, the lover, the broken, stood and began to walk away.

He saw her, and called her name. When she turned back, he approached her.

"I didn't see you there," he said, his breath coming out in little puffs of steam. "How long were you there?"

She regarded him coldly. "A while."

"Oh." He looked uncomfortable. What, was he afraid of being a Man-Whore in public?

She nodded. "Not that you care," she added. "You've done your damage."

He blinked. "What…?"

"Goodbye, Shane," she whispered, turning away.

"Caitlyn?" he asked, obviously confused.

"No." And she walked away, still trapped inside herself, unable to be freed. "You've done your damage."
