Jadeite stood on what felt like the edge of the world. It wasn't truly the edge as the spirals of the tall kingdom towers laid out before him. He was on the edge of a new future that he somehow instinctively knew that he could never be a part of, that his future had already been decided for him.

Warships had been brought in from all over in an attempt to protect the Golden Kingdom. Those soldiers were powerless to do anything and surely they knew that as well. If Endymion's own Shitennou couldn't protect him than no one else could.

Things were changing and he no longer knew who he could trust. Kunzite had changed. Endymion was too blind to notice, but the subtle differences couldn't elude Jadeite's watchful eye. He noticed the way the Kunzite always stood by their Prince, almost never leaving his side. His silver haired leader was once a rare sighting around the Palace, his place was protecting the kingdom from both the inside and out. It was Kunzite who was sent to the moon in the first place. But who came back in his stead remained a mystery. Kunzite's warm eyes now turned steely gray and Jadeite began to fear for his prince, although he knew better than to speak the words aloud.

He stood watching the mysterious energy spiral out of the sun and down to earth, seeming to fall to the northern most point of the planet. The lunar eclipse should have ended hours ago, but for some reason the moon was blocked behind the earth as if it would never be seen again. This force was powerful and it called to him even stronger now than it had been over the past few days. Is this how Kunzite felt before he was devoured by the darkness?

So now, a year later, Jadeite stood on that same edge of the world, his eyes watching as the remaining lights of the Golden Kingdom began to flicker out for what would be the final time. His time on this dying planet was quickly coming to end and he relished what was about to come. Blood was all that he dreamed of. At times he could even taste it, the angry desire in him called for it, needed to spill it.

The sight ahead of him was familiar as the lunar eclipse was held in place by the dark energy. For three days the eclipse held in place leaving the people of the kingdom to fear for their lives, that the end of the world was coming. If they only knew how right they were. Metallia's power was being channeled through the earth's core and towards the sun where it would gain the rest of its strength before they launched their attack on the moon. The silver light of the moon queen's crystal would not be enough to stop these events now that they were in place. Any moment now the lunar eclipse would end and they would begin their ascent to the lunar surface where his destiny awaited him.
