This is technically a poem, but it's a fan fiction poem and tells a bit of a story. Oh, and you must imagine it in the Pushing Daisies' Narrator's voice.

Ned was a piemaker who could bring the dead back to life in a flash,
so he used the skill to expose murderers, with his partner Emerson Cod (he was in for the cash).

One day Ned was leaning over another body, who he could bring back to life for only a minute,
so he could learn of the murderer; maybe the victim had seen it.

Ned tapped him and he was a spring as he leapt from his deathbed.
"Excuse me sir," Ned said, "But who shot you in the head?"

The man's eyes were tombstones as he turned around.
"A glass of water." The man said. "My mouth is so dry I can hardly make a sound."

Emerson got him one and he drank it quick. "I'm Gareth, and about your question..." Gareth replied.
"I was killed by my lawyer. The idiot." Gareth shook his head and sighed.

"Why did he do it?" Ned asked, his curiosity a wrestling monster.
Gareth stared at Ned hard, and soon said "He was after all my money, well duh."

Ned tapped him dead for a minute was up, and he was a rock back to his deathbed.
"Glad that was sorted out quick. Now we can go get the money." Emerson said.

Another case was sorted, and quicker than most.
Emerson sat back with his money, and some honey on toast.
